Note from me: There is no Christmas in my AU bc Christianity is non-existent. Story continues below:
"Come on Katara, put some power into your bending!" Coach Jha exclaims, sending a tennis-ball size rocks flying towards me.
"I am," I struggle to bend a huge wave of water his way, but my effort is repaid as Coach Jha slips and falls onto the floor.
"Well done Katara," Coach Jha applauds, getting up from the floor. "That was the best attack you've mastered so far."
"Thank you sir," I say politely, glowing inside. Hopefully I'll become a professional pro-bender, so it's no longer my dream, but one of my achievements.

"Luya?" I ask, stepping into Miss Hama's classroom. Me, Luya and a few other girls were selected to perform in Miss Hama's blood-bending show, and our rehearsal is right now. Instead, it's practically empty. Only Miss Hama is in the room, seated in her chair behind her desk.
"Luya's not here yet," a voice mutters. from behind me. I spin around to face a tall girl who's hair is in traditional black braids. "I'm Luerah," she says. "And this is Kagami."
"Hi," a shadowy figure walks towards me from the back of the class; it's a girl with glossy black hair in two curtain bangs. I hadn't even noticed she was there!
"Hi, I'm Katara," I introduce myself.
"Nice to meet you," they say, just as miss Hama clears her throat.
"May I have your attention please," she says formally, rising from her chair. "I'm delighted to announce that you ladies have been selected to perform in ATLA'S annual blood-bending show. You have exactly 1 month and 3 weeks to prepare for this event so we will have many, many rehearsals," Miss Hama announces.
"Sorry I'm late," Luya gasps, breathing heavily. She makes sure to hide whatever is in her hand behind her back.
"What is that?" Miss Hama asks sharply, walking to Luya from her desk.
"Nothing-" Luya begins, but Miss Hama's snatches it from her. It's a tiny notebook with scribbles on the cover in different shades of pink and maroon.
Flicking through the book, Miss Hama lets out a furious grasp. "What an interesting book," she comments. "Luya, what made you think it was appropriate to stick pictures of people in the school and write comments about them underneath?"
I take a step forward, curious. "I-" Luya starts but Miss Hama interrupts her.
"You've even dedicated a page for me," she begins, her eyes bulging. "HOW DARE YOU?"
"It's not mine," Luya exclaims defensively.
"Then who's it it?" Miss Hama spits, throwing the book onto the floor.
"It's Khori's" Luya says immediately. "I stole it from her and was going to show it to Principal White, but then I realised I had to come here..."
"I don't care!" Miss Hama screams. "Just bring her to me!"

"What do you losers want?" Khori asks rudely, settling in Miss Hama's chair. She's very pretty, with long, silky black hair reaching her waist. Her eyes are the strangest part of her though. They are illuminating and green, like a potion of evil and brilliance. She definetly looks mean enough to write sh*t like that.
"Does this book belong to you?" Miss Hama asks Khori, shoving the book in her face.
"No," Khori replies cooly.
