A Twist in Destiny
- Life from burden to blessing
If you're sensitive
Don't read this poem for me
Pity you might feel
For the girl in this poem
But it's a twist in destiny
Lets give you a glimpse of themA mother who had a beauty
Of soul, body, mind and heart
But a accident happen in such a way
That it shook her hard
And then her marriage gave birth to me
Dad says I was a beauty
Born with naturality
I had pink eyeshade and rosy cheeks
And a smile that can melt the coldness
I was perhaps 5
When I had to face the hardship of life
A fear enclosed me and shook me to core
Because I was the only one to save my family from tore
Born with cuteness was a weapon for me
To stop my parents fighting already
I'll never know what's mother love
As my mom's past accident took it away from me
And she became a person to be away from me
Everytime a single argument broke between them
I try to solve it knowing what might come next
Talking between elders was a main weapon for me
It was a necessity and not a fun key
I grow without mother's love
And staying without dad due to continuous transfers
Now in adolescence mother's love is a facility I need
But maybe because of my before life deed
I always feel left out in mother's love
And the mother's love I know is just a figment of my imagination not reality
My life felt like a burden to me
Unaware of the fact it will be a blessing
And then my brother arrived
As a major twist in my destiny
Just like any child I wondered about my destiny
And perhaps as my soul speaks
It is to cure my mom from her disease
But now it's not only mine but OUR destiny
Now that my soul recites in him
I thought with a careless smile
That what I didn't get he will get from me
It's just a simple twist in destiny
There are more complicated twists in one's life
Especially in the year 2020
Where doctor were thought as form of god
And now in the form of soldier believed as god
They have to sacrifice the precious time of their family
To save the country from this pandemic
I feel sorry to watch them like this
O' lord shower your blessings on them
Every twist in destiny of one's life is a message
And this pandemic has various forms
I smile as I watch our country fight united
As the leaf of discrimination shed in peace
It's all a game of twist in destiny
