January-May, 1992
Iris had disregarded the incident and pretended it never happened. She acted normal, but of course their was the sometimes awkward tension. Percy on the other hand, had been avoiding the girl. Not too much so she would realise, anyways, she was stuck with Anthony most of the time. He had a strong disliking for him for some reason, but he just told himself it was because of the way he cheats in class. Most of the time, he shut himself in the library, or in the common room. None the less, Iris always found a way to hang out with him, just thinking that being a pompous prat was a normal trait for Percy. Due to Ravenclaw beating Hufflepuff in January's match, Anthony decided to get his team to train 4 times a week, while Iris kept her 2 short ones. In her opinion, quality was better.
During the time Anthony was training, Iris decided to dedicate her time in actually studying for O.W.Ls, not relying on her photographic memory. Turns out Percy was actually a great study partner. Well, they both benefited form their study lessons. They got together maybe 3 times a week, studying everything from 1st year, to 5th year. "C'mon Percy, you know this!" Iris encouraged. If her 3rd year self travelled to the future and saw what as happening, she would freak and be absolutely disgusted. But after spending some time with the boy, Iris liked his presence, and considered him her friend. Percy racked through his brain, trying to remember how to get rid of a devil's snare. He was stuck with two possible answers. Squinting one eye, he looked at iris. She was dressed in baggy sweatshirt and pants, her hair in a messy bun. "It doesn't like light?" Iris tileted her head. "Close... it doesn't like heat of fire." Percy groaned and banged his head on the table. Iris gave an apologetic look. "If you hate the subject so much why didn't you drop it?" She wondered, patting his back. Percy turned his head to the side and grumbled. "I wanted to do something more challenging, PLus, it gives me more variety when I get an owl for it." Iris rolled her eyes. "That's not logical, just pick the easiest ones, and you'll pass easy peasy." She looked pleased with her self.
Percy raised an eyebrow. "Well at least your common sense was put into good use." He had a tiny smirk. Iris frowned and slapped him with her book. Percy rubbed his shoulders while mutteriing 'ow'. Iris held up her nose high and read her textbook. "Our last exam's are tomorrow, then we'll be done!" She stretched her arms out behind her, while Percy watched. He nodded. "Yeah, then I won't have to stay here every afternoon with you," He said sarcastically. Iris gave him a playful glare. Percy smiled, but he felt a little sad their study dates were coming to an end. His thoughts were interrupted when Anthony arrived, drenched in rain and sweat. Iris muttered a drying spell for him, and he gave her a kiss on her cheek. "How was practice?" She asked as the Hufflepuff drew himslef a chair. "Fine, hope we beat sytherin though," Iris patted his back. Anthony just seemed to realize Percy was there. "Oh, sorry Weasley, didn't recognize it was you."
Percy shook his head awkwardly, a sudden grey cloud now ruining his mood. "It's fine, I was going to leave anyways. Good luck in your exam tomorrow Iris." he said and left the library quickly. Iris watched him in concern, but Anthony was the latter. "Man, are you sure that was weasley?" He asked. Iris tilted her head in confusion. "What do you mean?" Anthony looked at her weirdly, lifting his feet onto he counter. "hat do you mean what do you mean? That's a totally different bloke!" iris laughed from her nose, starting to pack up her stuff. "Yeah right, he's still the same." Anthony gave her a side glance. "Are you kidding? He used to be so uptight and precise in everything, I mean, just right now his hair was a mess, his notes were messy, and you know what? He's actually smiling these days." Irs rolled her eyes, not seeing where this was going. "Well, never mind that. Our last exmas are tomorrow." She reminded. Anthony laughed. "Damn right they are. And you know what's after that?" Iris cocked her head to the side. "What?" she asked with a small smile. Anthony wrapped his arm round her and starting walking out of the library. "Our 6th month anniversary." He said. Iris had a small panick attack, she completely forgot about it. She recovered quickly with a smile, "Yeah,"
"Tell you what love, after the exams are done, Imma take you out to dinner, meet me on the astronomy tower at 6 tomorrow. Iris looked him in the eye and pretend to be excited, while inside she was panicking. How could she forget? "Sounds good." She said.

Percy slumped back to the common room, it was basically empty, with the exception for the twins. "What's up Percy!" Fred asked enthusiastically. Percy only grunted in response, and took a seat on the couch beside them. Now, the twins loved to tease their older brother, but they knew when to stop. The looked at eachpther, thinking the same thing. "Hey perc, what happened? Someone steal your badge?" George asked hopefully, adding his little joke. Percy glared at him in return. Now it was Fred's turn. "Well you look different brother. Messy hair, rolled up sleeves, and.. wait a second, it that a blond piece of hair I see?" Fred plucked one strand of blond hair of Percy's jumper examining it like it was gold. George came to a quick conclusion. "You were with Iris!" He said. The twins didn't fancy the girl so much anymore, well at least George didn't, he had his eyes on another girl. Percy rolled his eyes. "Course I was, we were studying." Fred quickly responded. "And why are you upset? Any guy would be smiling like an idiot if they were with her, you know what I'm saying?" Fred suggested with a smirk, but immediately knocked it off when George glared at him.
Percy groaned. "I wasn't her, it was the stupid player Wheeler! Coming into the library all hot headed, drenched in rain and sweat! I'm telling you, I bet most of it was just the rain!" He started rambling. "And my merlin is he overprotective of Iris, I mean, give her a break! Telling her what to do and what not, it's like she's his puppet!" never in their lives, have they seen Percy rant on something that wasn't school-related. "6 month anniversary" he mimicked with a low pitched voice, attempting to sound like Anthony. "They've only spent like a months worth of time together with him planning so many training!" Percy was talking non-stop. Fred and George, who usually weren't good at telling people's feeling, seemed to be getting a very focused idea of something they never would have imagined. "Wow," George said starting off slowly. "Sound's like your in loovee." Fred finished. Percy snapped his head quickly at them, startled by their accusation. "Bloody hell? What's the matter with you two? Me? In love? With Iris?" HE laughed at the thought. "Impossible, jut impossible." But the more he thought about it, was he in love?
A year ago, Percy wouldn't have cared who she was dating, who she snogged, who controlled her. But now he was caring, and almost protective of her. What was going on with him. Percy shook his head trying to get the thought out of his head, but after thinking and thinking, he might have to do the thing he would kill himself for doing. Agree with the twins.
