Evangeline's POV

The three of us march back to the main hall.
Eileen is still sitting at the table where we left her, plus Rowena is standing in front of her.
"Oh," she exhales, "look, the angel is still there, keeping the Winchesters company."
Anxious, I look from her to Dean, but he is already looking at her, with his arms crossed over her chest.
"Rowena, what do you want?" he asks, and his voice sounds very stern.
"Well, like I said when I was around the last time, I know where Jesse is, and even when I sent spy's over, we couldn't figure out what he is planning exactly."
"And?" Dean replies, sitting down beside Eileen.
"And, we have no choice. We need to get into the lion's cage."
"Rowena, you can't be serious!" Now Sam shouts out, standing behind Eileen's chair, holding the backrest.
"Oh, I'm," she says, smiling, and I already know how."
I see Dean shifting on his chair, he seems uncomfortable.
"Let's hear."
"Well, the angel over there," she points at me. I remain in the back of the room, but now I make a few small steps forward.
"What about me?"
"You and I, we are going to have a night out." and a grin on her face appears, and you could almost say it's an evil grin.
My eyes shoot from her to Sam and Eileen and finally to Dean, who is already shaking his head.
"No, not going to happen." Dean answers instead of me.
"Wait," I declare," let's hear her out."
He turns, looking at me in disbelief first, then his face turns angry. I try to ease his anger by putting my palm on his shoulder. But my eyes remain on Rowena.
"Good girl," she purrs," so now listen."
She starts to walk through the room and it's clear to see that she has a certain grace.
"The Angel and me..." she starts but is cut off by Dean once more.
"She has a name, for god's sake."
Rowena isn't bothered by his words, but she changes her words: "Evangeline and I will head into this club. And you know, what I just thought? Now that your gracious Eileen is back, she can come along. It will be a lot easier if we have someone there who can read lips."
I see Sam hand signing Eileen what Rowena just said. I expect to see some fear or another negative emotion, but Eileen lets nothing out.
"This way, we don't even need to get nearer than I thought we would have to." Rowena goes on. "My demons told me he makes all his deals and other businesses in this club. He is hiding behind the crowd, where no one can monitor him and his partners." she turns around, facing us and her smile is so proud, she grins from ear to ear. "So? Boys, what do you think?"
I hear Dean taking an extremely deep breath: "That is the stupidest thing I heard in a while."
Rowena's face falls. "Dean, it's the only way to get near him. And you two..." he points and Sam and Dean," you two can't go inside because he knows you too well. The hell will break loose if you get near him."
"She is not wrong, Dean." I hear Sam saying.
"Are you insane? You can't send the three in there."
"Why not?" Sam asks back.
"Jesse will know by one glance that she is the queen of hell and she an angel." his thumb points and Rowena and me.
"You really think I haven't thought of that?" Rowena speaks up.
"Oh, now we are getting one of these famous plans that always work out so well." Now you can hear how angry he is getting. I take my hand away because it doesn't do anything to him.
Rowena pouts, but she tells her plan anyway: "I have a spell to hide Evangeline's grace and my spirit. No one will notice anything other than a girls trio having a fun night."
"That doesn't sound too bad." Sam says, "We already had much worse plans if we ever had one."
Dean shoots him a glaring like he wants to slap him.
"I'm in." Now, Eileen pipes up. "If we can figure it out that way, I will go."
Dean throws his arms in the air: "You..." but he doesn't finish the sentence. Then he turns toward Rowena: "I swear, if something happens to them, I will come down to hell and this time, I will kill you once and for all."
"Mr. Winchester, always so thankful for all I have done for him." Rowena chuckles. It seems like she knows Dean pretty well.
I follow the conversation when something dawns on me: "What about my powers? When you hide my grace, will I be able to defend myself?"
"Good point!" Dean shouts and looks at Rowena.
"I'm sorry, but for the time the spell works, you will not have any angelic powers."
I nod one time, trying to process what that means for me.
"Then no! Even more than before." Dean states.
"Oh, come on, could the angel maybe speak for herself? Or are you her daddy?" and Rowena smirks, saying these words. She locks her eyes at me and asks: "So, pretty, what do you say?"
I meet her eyes: "So, would it be helpful to go in there? Especially with Eileen? And I'm a backup, so we are not catching someone's eyes?"
Rowena starts clapping her hand: "What an extraordinarily smart little angel we have."
"Then ok, I will do it," I answer seriously, still holding Rowena's stare.
She claps one more time: "Brilliant, I will come back in a few days, and will have everything we need for the plan. Until then, bye boys. And girls." and with a snap of her fingers, she disappears.
Dean is standing beside me, his body fully turned to me, but I keep looking past him. I feel how angry he is and I can't bear to face him. When he realizes I can't turn towards him, he marches out of the room.
Now that he left, I feel how my stiff shoulder gets loose and the breath I hold comes out slowly.
I sit down and Eileen and Sam both give me a small smile.
"He is furious, right?" I ask them.
Eileen nods and Sam says: "Only because he is worried and thinks the plan will fail. Believe me, if Rowena would have said him and me would go in there, we would already be driving." and Sam chuckles a little. "He just wants to protect everyone."
"We just need to prove to him that you are capable of defending yourself, even without your grace."
"And how do we, I, do that?"
"I can have a look at what you already can in fighting. And from there we can work. What do you think?" Sam offers me his help and I'm so very grateful for it.
I smile at him widely: "That would be amazing, thank you." I get up and hug both of them, "thank both of you."
The couple claps my back and when I back away again I ask Sam: "When do we start?"
"Woah, Woah, easy. We will call it a day and start tomorrow, ok?"
"Ok," I agree, "I will head to my room then."
I get up, but before I leave the room, Sam means: "Maybe make a visit," and he points to the hallway, "even if he won't admit, he will appreciate it."
I nod and start to go down the lobby.
Dean's room is on the way to my own and I stop by his door. It's closed and I knock. No response. I knock again, but still no answer.
I try the door handle and I open the door carefully. I peek into the room, seeing Dean lying on his bed, big headphones over his ears. His arms are crossed and it's like he wants to stab someone with his glare.
I guess he is not in the mood to talk, so I want to close the door silently, but I can hear my name coming from him: "Eve."
I stop in my motion, pushing the door open again. Dean is already sitting straight. His headphones place on the mattress.
"I don't want to interrupt. I'm sorry."
He gets up and, with two steps, he is at the door: "Don't be silly." and his palm is offering me to step in.
We sit down beside each other on the edge of his bed. I can see in the corner of my eye that Dean is glancing at the ground for a second before he asks: "Eve, what's gotten into you, to agree?"
I shrug my shoulders, saying: "I... I don't know, I just thought, if I can help, I want to."
"You will not have your powers." Dean states.
"I know, but we will be careful and I'm not alone. There is nothing to worry about."
Dean chuckles: "You have no idea what it's like to go into a nest of demons."
"Maybe, but I think this is our best option. And Sam wants to train me tomorrow."
Dean remains silent and sometimes I wish I could just use my powers to read his mind. But I know better.
"I will come along with the training. I want to make sure Sam does it right."
I chuckle: "You think Sam can't do that?"
"No, I think YOU can't..." he replies, but I see him smiling slightly.
"Well, thanks."
"It's just..." and he hesitates to go,"...Eve, no matter who, almost everyone I ever knew, died during a hunt. Even me." he arranges himself on the bed so that he can face me fully. "We just got Eileen back and..." he pauses once more, "and I really don't want to see anyone again dying."
"Well, then I have to take that I won't." I want to ease the tension in the air, but I'm not very successful. He looks at me, questioning.
"Sorry," I say and smile at him.
He suddenly looks at the ceiling, shakes his shoulders like he is preparing for something.
"Dean?" I ask quietly," are you ok?"
He locks his eyes with mine again, before he starts talking: "Eve, there once was somebody. Someone I thought, I..." he stops talking for taking a breath, "I thought I could spend my life with."
His facial expressions change, from nervous to afraid.
"What happened?" I shoot myself more onto the bed, turn towards him completely, crossed-legged.
"She and her son were in constant danger because of me and my job. After it got horrible and harmful, I asked Castiel to erase their memories."
Shocked, my palm covers my lips.
"Dean, I'm so sorry to hear that. This must have been a terrible experience." I can only imagine what it feels like to do something like that. I crawl next to him and sit somehow behind him to hug him over his shoulders. I cross my arms over his chest and Dean grabs my wrists. I feel how he leans his head back against me. He starts to relax more and even in a serious conversation, I can't hold Dean's weight because I'm squatting on my tiptoes. I try to hold us up, but I fall back, first on my heel, then completely over on my back. Thereby I try not to fall, I grab Dean's shirt and pull him with me.
I groan when his weight presses into the mattress and it takes Dean a second to get up from me.
Laughing, he stands up: "Are you ok?" and he hauls me up in a sitting position again. "Your first time, pressed into my sheets, I imagined a bit different," Dean states playfully. He doesn't leave much space between us when he stands me back on my feet. I have to look up to meet his eyes.
He chuckles: "Sorry, maybe that was a little too fast forward."
"It's ok," I reply, "I guess I will let you rest now. We meet tomorrow for training, right?"
He nods and I shift past him, only to recognize Dean stops me by holding my hand.
"Would you...would you like to stay?"
I look at him, somehow knocked over, I haven't expected this.
I look down at our hands before I answer: "If you like to."
"Wouldn't ask otherwise." and he goes and hands me one of his shirts to sleep in.
