Dean's POV

After Eve gets dressed in one of my shirts, and I have to admit, I love this particular sight, we go to sleep.
I wrap her in my arms, she is the little spoon, and soon after, I feel her breathing even. I'm nestling against the crook of her neck and slowly drift to sleep too.
In the middle of the night, I slightly wake up because I feel Eve moving and getting out of bed.
"Where are you going?" I ask her, my voice raspy from sleep.
"I will just get a book, I'm done sleeping." she whispers and opens the door," I will be right back."
And I look after her, recognizing her tiny butt and how her naked legs are showing below my shirt. I grin and lay back, waiting for her to return.
She doesn't take long, and she sits down on the bed, leaning against the bed head, opening her book.
I place my head into her lap and I feel her fingertips caressing my hair while she starts reading. This way, I fall asleep again.
The next time I wake up, it's early morning. My back hurts a little because I slept the rest of the night on Eve's lap. I turn, groaning quietly, seeing Eve still leaned against the bed head, sleeping. Her book seems to have slid out of her hands.
I look at the book. From all the books in the library, she chooses "The Wizard of Oz." I can't help but chuckle at the thought of Charlie and how she disappeared into the world of Oz.
I place the book on the nightstand and get up.
Quietly I go to the kitchen, making some coffee. I pour two cups and add milk and sugar in one.
I walk back to my room, sit down at the bed after I place the coffee aside.
I watch Eve sleeping for a little while. Her long golden hair frames her face and her facial features are refined, as only an angel could ever have.
I touch her hand and whisper her name: "Eve. You need to wake up."
Slowly her eyes move under her closed lids and she starts stretching herself, she even yawns and mutters: "Hmm? What?"
"You fall asleep again."
"Oh, "she sits herself up straight," ooooh, I didn't mean to...."
"Hey, it's all good. You can sleep as long and much as you want." I say, cackling.
"So, you say, I can stay in bed the whole day?" and she looks excited about that thought.
"Well, yes, but not today." and her excitement vanishes when I go on, "remember, Sam and you wanted to train."
"Right, I forgot."
I hand her a cup.
"Coffee. And yes, it's sweet, just try it."
She takes the cup and first sniffs then takes a sip. When gulping down, she closes her eyes.
"Hmmm, that's good, I like it. Thank you, Dean."
"Welcome"
We empty our cups and start to get ready for the day.
After showering, I make some breakfast for all of us.
It's the first time Eve tries some bacon, and she really likes it. Finally, I have someone enjoying food as much as myself. I can literally see that Sam thinks the same while he watches Eve inhaling the bacon.
"We definitely need to buy more bacon the next time," he says, laughing and Eve startles up.
"Oh my God, I'm sorry, I ate so much and you all wanted some bacon too." and she puts back the last piece on the plate.
"No, it's fine with me," Sam answers," I guess you have to fight with him over it." and he points at me.
"Me?" I ask, pretending to be surprised, "I would never fight over food." and I grab the last bacon and bite a piece from it.
In the corner of my eye, I see Eve looking baffled. Without looking at her, I hold the bacon towards her and waggle it until she gets it and slowly takes it from my fingers.
I spot Sam opening his mouth: "Shut up, Sam." and he takes a sip from his cup, but I recognize him grinning.
Eve leans forward as if she wants to have a look at what she is missing.
"Why do you speak to him like that?" she asks.
"He wanted to annoy me," I reply.
"Huh?"
"I will explain later. Let's get ready for some training."

A few minutes later, we all meet downstairs.
I see Eileen putting Eve's hair in a ponytail.
"Like this, your hair won't get in the way," she explains to her and Eve nods.
Sam has already prepared some stuff, so I sit down to watch. At least for now.
"Ok, "Sam starts," I think we start with your reactions. I will throw some balls and we will see how you handle that."
"Ok." Eve answers and she makes a few steps further away.
Sam loads his hands with small balls and without warning, he starts to throw them, fast and with force, one after the other.
I except Eve to struggle, even hiding herself with her arms, but it's quite the opposite.
She catches them all without problems. As fast as the balls fly towards her, she grabs and lets the balls fall with a speed I can't believe. I shoot up from my seat, watching her in disbelief. I look over to Eileen, and the surprise is plastered on her face too.
When Evangeline catches the last ball, she looks at us, asking:" Was that ok?"
"Ok?" Sam answers, laughing, "that was more than ok."
He approaches her, explaining what he has in mind next.
"Since your reactions are perfect, we will see how you act when someone is attacking you."
I can see her gulping nervously, but she nods.
Sam goes behind her, waits for a few seconds and then grabs her from behind, around her throat.
Eve catches his forearms, bends forward and throws Sam over her shoulder.
Sam is landing on his back, looking up at her, and he smiles.
They repeat different kinds of attacks and Eve is controlling every single one of them.
After maybe an hour, Sam and she are sweaty and breathing heavily.
Sam bends, holding himself on his knees. "Ok, ok," he says, exhausted," I think we know now what you are capable of."
"Fine." Eve answers," you think I can have a shower now?"
"Yes, definitely," Sam answers, laughing.
I get up, interrupting them: "After that, I will train you how to shoot. When you don't have your angel powers, you might need it."
Sam and Eve head over to have a shower and Eileen taps on my shoulder.
"She did good, but I'm not sure if she can do that without her powers."
I agree: "Yeah, we need to talk to Rowena, she needs to find a different spell. Otherwise, this will be a suicide mission. She and Rowena without powers? Not a good idea."
"I will go and contact Rowena. We need to talk this through again."
I nod and Eileen leaves and I go and prepare a few different guns. Done with that, I search for Eve. She is in her room, her door is just ajar. I knock and open, seeing her shoving a shirt over her head.
"Hey!" she shouts out, but I lean at the door frame, grinning.
"Sorry."
"No, you are not, Mister." and she throws her soggy towel in my face.
"Hey yourself." I roar back.
"You started, and I think you say, don't start what you can't end."
"You really think I couldn't end that?" I ask her, grinning and step towards her.
"Oh shit," she says, laughing and moves backward. I try to grab her, but with her angelic reactions, she jumps so quickly over the bed, I don't stand a chance.
I glare at her, and I see her smiling playfully. I jerk and she is doing exactly what I wanted her to do. She starts approaching the door and wants to get out of the room. But I can grab her by her upper arm and with a quick movement, I catch her waist and throw her over my shoulder. She giggles and yells: "Let me down."
"No chance."
Sams and Eileen's heads appear and Sam asks:" Hey, what's the matter?"
"Nothing Sammy, just training to shoot now." and I pass the two and hear Eve saying behind my back: "See you later."
When I reach the next hallway, I see in the corner of my eye how Sam shoves Eileen back into his room, both laughing.
I walk Eve and me to the shooting gallery.
I let her glide down gently, putting her on her feet again.
She looks up at me, saying: "Well, thanks for the walk."
I get nearer to her face, and she locks her eyes with mine. But I just pick up a gun, laying behind her on the counter. I snatch her shoulders and turn her around, facing the target.
"This...," I unload the weapon," is a gun."
I put the gun into her hands by leaning over her shoulder. I lay my fingers over hers, shoving her pointing finger on the trigger.
"Concentrate, aim, shoot." and I pull her finger down with the trigger. The immense acoustic shock lets her startle so much, the back of her head shoots backward against my chin.
She clutches her head and shouts out: "Ouch." and she turns around, seeing me likewise holding my chin.
"Oh no, I'm so sorry." Eve apologizes," I didn't know it would be that loud. I'm sorry."
She tries to shove my hand away from my face to have a look at my chin.
"It's fine. I'm good." I pull my head away from her. It's a typical manner on my part.
She let her hand down, glancing at her feet.
"Could you..." she hesitates," maybe show me again?"
I immediately felt sorry for backing away, but I was never the type to admit I got hurt.
Eve turns to the counter again, waiting.
Again I lay my arms around her shoulders, with the same movements as before.
"I don't want to hurt you again," she says quietly.
"You won't," I mumble against her ear, "close one of your eyes and aim. My hands are just guiding yours."
She nods slightly, and I see her peeking with one eye. She needs a second then her movement stops.
"You sure?" I ask.
"Hmm," she answers, and I tip her finger to make her understand to pull the trigger herself.
Eve slowly pulls the trigger and I barely prevent the gun from getting pulled back in Eve's face.
"Shit," I rumble," I forgot the repulsion. Are you good?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Ok, now, try it on your own. Just be aware of the repulsion, if you don't, the gun could hit your face."
I let go of her, standing beside now, watching what she is doing.
I can see her struggle holding the gun, and her nervousness doesn't make it better.
"Support your hand with your other. Here, like this."
I put her free hand under the magazine of the gun, and her grip is more steady now. She does as I told her, and when she fires, the bullets don't even get near the target.
"Well, that is going to be a long day," I chuckle," at least there is something you can't do."
"Wow, thank you." but she instantly tries to shoot again, but without more success.
After a few more tries, she lays the gun on the counter.
"We are not done yet," I state.
She looks at me: "Ok, but my ears are going to explode if I do one more shot. They really hurt."
"Hurt? Your ears are hurting?"
"Yes, why?"
"I just wouldn't have guessed that because you are an angel."
"I don't know what kind of angels you know, but my ears hurt." and she rubs over them like this would wash away the ache.
"Ok, you know what? If we do a few more and as a reward, we will do something nicer."
I can see immediately how excited she gets.
"Ooooh, I would like that. Can we go for a walk? In a park? Maybe there are other people with dogs and their kids. Or maybe we can eat ice cream? Or both?"
She is almost jumping with enthusiasm and I snort in laughter.
"What's so funny?" she asks, but she is still smiling.
"Your excitement. Barely see people getting excited about a walk in the park."
"Well, I can imagine it's nice," she replies, shrugging her shoulders.
"I can imagine something different, nicer than that." and I wink at her. She shakes her head, giggling.
"What?" I ask, "I was just...."
"Sure, you were." and she looks me dead in the eye. After a second, I grab her and turn her towards the counter again. Her hair is right under my nose and I smell a fragrance. My fragrance.
"We need to get you your own shampoo."
"Why? I like the scent."
"Yeah, me too, but not on you. At least not when you put it on in the shower." I grin and I'm a little glad she can't see me.
"I'm not quite sure if I understand all your references."
"I will teach you someday."
She gives me a small smile and we go on practicing.
