Evangeline's POV
A few hours later, I sit in the kitchen, browsing through the bunch of magazines Dean demanded me to buy. I guess we bought one of each the store had in stock. Seeing all the pictures from examples of weddings overwhelms me. They are all so beautiful.
Dean sits down a cup of coffee in front of me and takes a seat beside me.
"Already found something?"
"Well, it's so much, so many possibilities. I wouldn't have guessed people are that obsessed with weddings."
"They are. People spend thousands of Dollars on one wedding."
"That's insane, right?"
"Kind of," Dean chuckles.
"I don't think I need all of that," I say, shrugging my shoulders" first, I don't know many people, and I really think you don't want something that glamorous."
Dean shakes his head:" I personally don't, but I want you to be happy."
"But I am," I reply, smiling, we could do it all alone, and I would be happy."
Then I hear a voice behind me:" But we wouldn't be happy about it."
Sam enters, followed by Eileen.
"I'm sorry, that's not what I meant. I just..."
"Relax, I know what you meant."
They sit down opposite us and Eileen grabs a magazine, looking through it.
"Oh, that looks nice, see?" Eileen shoves the papers to me. I see an immense glamorous decoration, all in white, with many candles and flowers. The room is decorated with balloons, golden fabric and a massive chandelier in the middle.
"Oh, I..." but I stop, trying to process the words so I don't hurt Eileen's feelings.
"Eve, if you don't like it, just say it." Dean states.
"Yeah, well, I really think it's a little bit too much."
"Agree." Dean supports me.
"That's ok," Eileen replies," I just thought the colors are nice."
I turn to Dean and ask:" Can we have something more natural? A few flowers would be enough for me. And something good to eat with your friends?"
"My friends?"
I look at him with narrowed eyes:" Yes, like Garth and Jody?"
"Oh yes," he answers, chuckling. I slap his arm when Jody enters the kitchen.
"Did I hear my name?"
"Yeah, Eve thinks we are friends," Dean answers, laughing.
"Hey, I really think I deserve the status as a friend of the Winchesters," Jody replies, laughing," what are you talking about?"
"They try to make wedding plans," Sam answers for us.
"Nice, any ideas?" and she joins us at the table.
"Not really. I have no idea how weddings work." I say and I kind of feel desperate because everyone else seems to know what we talk about.
It seems like Jody sees what goes through my head and offers:" Do you want to use my garden? We could help you to settle everything. I bet Alex would be amazed to do that."
My gaze shoots over to Dean, trying to sense what he thinks, but of course, I fail. Being a human isn't easy.
I see Dean tilting his head before he looks at me. I can't help but smile, thinking about what Jody said. I think it's a beautiful idea and such a lovely offer.
Dean sighs and says:" I guess Eve likes the idea." and I frantically nod my head.
"Then it's settled," Jody claps her hands," just tell me the date and we will arrange everything."
I jump up from my seat, taking Jody in an embrace:" Thank you so so much, I guess I would be lost without you."
"Hey," Dean yells out," what about me?"
I leave Jody and sit on Dean's lap:" Yeah, without you too." I reply and kiss his lips quickly.
"Do you both have any idea when you want to marry?" Sam asks.
"Yesterday," Dean answers, smiling and Sam rolls his eyes and replies:" Could you stop being so cheesy?"
"Maybe later." Dean quotes and rubs his nose against mine.
"I think," Jody thinks aloud," you should wait until spring. The weather would be warmer, so we have no issues with celebrating outside."
We all agree and then Dean asks:" Sam? Have you ever thought about leaving the bunker?"
"In the last few weeks? Yes."
"And where do you want to go then?"
"I have no idea, honestly. It's not like we have a place to go other than this."
Dean nods and goes on:" Ever considered Bobby's?"
"No, I haven't. But you do know it's destroyed?"
"Of course, but don't you think there is enough space? For you," Dean points to Sam and Eileen," and for us."
Sam takes a look at Eileen before he answers:" There is and with a lot of work...."
"We could make it a home." Dean finishes Sam's sentence.
The room falls silent for a second before Sam nods and says:" Let's do this."
