"We were the best,

always the preferred.

we had fans,

that's how much we were loved.

But the days are slowly passing by

and I fear our days are ending,

the calendar looks thinner

and hair's turning white.

Our kids look bigger

with their own life ahead of them,

and I fear, my jagi

we don't have what they have anymore.

Do you remember where I was a minute ago?

funny how I can remember how we first met but not the last,

how I remember you laughing at my jokes but not the jokes

I fear us, my jagi

will they keep on remembering us?

will we remember us?

after all, we've been through?

will they love us the same?

will we love ourselves the same?

I can feel the differences, my sweet darling

and it's scaring me

So I have kept our photographs,

that'll remind us of youth we yearn now,

of all the sweet memories

we once made when our hearts were overfilled with love.

And if  any of us  have to leave before the other,

remember the photographs

which will show how much we loved each other at every stage of our lives.

Looking at you sleeping by my side love,

reminds me of those sleepless nights thinking about you, with you by my side.

I might not be the same person everyone knew me to be,

but I'll always be yours

and these photographs on the kitchen fridge will keep on reminding you that.

I may be scared baby

but I know it is going to be alright

because I know I have you by my side,

counting the remaining pages of our calendar together

as we talk about memories that made us to what we are,

coz those photographs are a reminder,

we can live in perpetuity-

even when there are no pages to turn,

and no head to count the hair of."
