They say it's alright
I know it's not,
I tried to tell them
but they just won't budge.
got me in a trance
I suffered to get out of,
never knew the only one to hurt me
was no one but me.
maybe they were right,
maybe I was.
what mattered though
was the bitter truth.
Days went by
and so did the months,
the calendar running a marathon against time.
you tried
you really did,
but some things just won't ever change.
You were the most matured
that's what they thought
that's what you thought,
but the truth was they were so many things left
left to explore,
left to love,
left to lose.
So many quotes you are familiar with,
thinking you understood it,
but as the days went by
and your life breezed by,
you didn't know what else to think.
No one could be fully matured
it's ok to let loose,
the girl said to him before she left him too,
broken and scattered he smiled,
each and every word he heard
suddenly clicking in their places.
Being mature is not something that just happens,
its when you lose everything every reason to be immature,
its when you go through something so cruel
even your age doesn't matter.
You might be angry at everyone
or at none at all,
but when you'll look back
all you would see shall be
the imperfect flaws of yours.
Bad decisions
we take all the time
some unknown and some known,
but what could help
the fragile mind
that dares to leap and is scared to fall.
