I find myself up all night

Can you believe it?
A sleep lover keeping herself up?
Even if I don't have anyone to convince me to do so
I involuntarily find myself awake at night

Baggy eyes, groggy voice

I wait for something
A funny reel, a serious text
Though I know the chances are slim
Send me a song recommendation
Or a laughing emoji on my unhinged story uploads
I'll play that song on a loop
Or remember how you used to laugh
I'll decipher every meaning you're trying to convey
I'll involuntarily find myself awake at night

Baagy eyes, groggy voice
Some nights like these
