.Like Pyramus and his Thisbe.
She flinched at his loud noise
a dreadful feeling in her,
why was she like this he wondered
but this was how she was treated from the very start.
Broken, shattered, and messed up
was all she was when her ex left her,
taking the love she was left with
after feeding the rest of her broken family,
people say she is a keeper
but treated her impassive,
but he wasn't one of them.
She often wondered why he was here
a 6-year age gap would bore him soon,
and her ruined innocence would abandon his love for her
if she ever felt it to be anything otherwise.
He treated her like a gentlemen
and she was left confused
why would a guy like him fall for a girl like her?
the insecurity would always bug her till the end
but the love he shared was something she heartfully cherish.
Days go by and he is worried
she feels alone in the world where he made her a paradise
the promises seem a lot bizarre
for someone like him to like someone like her
he always proved it to her heart
but her mind was still scarred.
He fears her mind
for it is the reason she left the paradise he made
people say he is a keeper
and educated him on values and gentleness,
but he never felt like one of them.
he loved her at first sight
but she never agreed
she wasn't someone to get love
nor would she take it,
he tried to prove it to her
but her pain had taken over
and something as worthless as the past
had taken over her soul.
She feels incapable to be loved by him
and says him rightly so,
she tells him all the harsh memories
the world had handed her not too long ago,
she never felt so safe with someone to share so much
but her mind-controlled her again
and that was the last starlight she ever saw with him.
He wailed and cried
and cried all the time
the times he shared with her
just seemed so distant
and he thinks of all the times they shared 'I love you's '
with her fearing the honesty in it and him the flashbacks in her eyes.
The world broke her
too much for her to survive in it,
he felt what she did once
as now, the world seemed like hell without his paradise.
And just like Pyramus
he gave away his life
to be with his Thisbe,
a tragic symbol of their loyal faithful love.

ps. i got inspiration from Mr. Dentist's book plot for this. the poem is sort of what happens in that book leaving the last dying, which does not at all take place at all in that book ;")
also, i donot personally know the story of Thisbe and Pyramus. we had that in our merchant of venice and we were just taught the jist of it where both had forbidden love and pyramus thought that thisbe was killed by a lion one time they were meeting and killed himself only for thisbe to come later and kill herself after she found him dead.
and tbh, i legit cried when my teacher taught me this like. i want this loyal love too 🥺🥺🤌
but like i don't think i deserve it. and i am more of like this her in this poem, so yea who cares.
