"How can you be so sure of this?"

With pride I declare the trials i got through

Fought with my own mind 

Just to give this a chance.

With every glance my heart kept on beating 

Baiting for chances 

The heart, previously cold

Skips a beat when I smell your cologne

I knew from a distance, now we're together 

My thoughts stuck on how to be better 

And that's exactly how I was so sure,

And oh, how that was false.

   -why must we learn this the hard way?
