Eyes, Lantern eyes.
When your eyes catch the glimpse of the person you were desperately in Love with,
few months prior.
Your eyes skeem off and momentarily even end up forgetting his presence,
but there's a spontaneous dopamine spike in your brain.
Memories after memories after hurt and betrayals dance in the corridors of your mind
but it doesn't help when the topic of discussion is love and its impact.

Your eyes look around the aisle in the supermarket as your mind tries to keep up with the conversation in your group
but the only thing you can now see is the times you spent with that one person.

You try to forget and you try to move on,
your anxious eyes are still looking around.
It's like the arousal, the temptations in an addiction recovery patient when he sniffs nicotine in the surrounding.

A flame that burns but you only feel warm.

Your eyes meet his again,
in another aisle as he roams with his friends.
A similar contrast, a deafening emotion.

Your eyes falter when they meet his,
an eerie calmness in your nerves.
The fire is back in your eyes,
but not for the guy in front of her.

The flame ignites with the memories they shared on the fountain,
a man she can no longer feel in the guy front,
the last of the greatest.

The flame dances in her eyes as it yearns to be near,
but they were the same poles on another earth.

She attempts to Keep her aura in place,
but it's too loud and too clear for naked eyes
to whisper and gossip about their broken tale.

She hides her eye behind the phone and reels the brain with logic,
she cages the fire ceasing any further destruction within her.

Feeling abandoned the fire strays from her body leaving her eyes dim,
burning but never with the intensity she feels.

She leaves the place with a broken pace leaving the unbothered guy behind.

One utterly in ahes and the other the ignitior.
