An expensive hoodie
Was your idea of the perfect gift
You didn't even notice me wearing them
The first two times
Where were you when they told you that
girls like compliments?
Wore them on your special days
Even with its itchy back
Couldn't find myself out of its embrace
Your fragrance had its spell on me.
Now it lies behind the door
Hung and forever ignored
I dare not wear it outside
But find myself in it the entire night
And expensive hoodie
Was your idea of the perfect gift
Now a reminder of an idea never fulfilled.
