Steffie POV
I don't exactly know why I asked Naya out, but I do know I don't want to see her in this state, it hurts me when she's hurt. Don't get me wrong, I love Demi as well, but this time, I know Demi was the one in the wrong. She went out a few times with Wilmer when she was together with Naya. If there's anything I hate it's cheaters.
"Are you ready to go Naya?" I asked, searching for my keys. "Yeah, em where are we going? I need to look presentable" she replied, looking in the mirror. To me she always looks beautiful, but of course, if you're a star like her and you go out in public, you need to look at your best, unless you want to end up in the newspapers. "We're going to this little pizzeria if you're ok with it? It's in Manhattan but not that public though and we can go with my car, so we don't get recognised if you want" I told her, "Oh and you look beautiful so don't worry about makeup or anything like that" I added, sending her a shy smile, turning completely red. "Aw thank you Steffie, that's sweet of you, but I'm just going to readjust my mascara, because I think I look like a panda right now" she smiled lightly, adjusting her makeup. "A cute panda though" I mumbled, hoping she didn't hear me.
"Here we are, I've been here a while ago with some friends, I hope this is ok for you?" I asked her unsure. "Fiat Café? I haven't heard of it to be honest" she replied, "But I'm sure it'll be good" I smiled at her, opening the door for her, letting her enter first, "Ladies first" I added, earning a big grin from her. "Gracias" she said, "You know that's Spanish right? And we're in an Italian restaurant" I giggled, making her blush a little. We sat at a table for two and waited for the waitress to come by.
"You have to tell me more about yourself, the only things I know about you right now are your favourite Glee episodes and that you are from Belgium and always dreamt of coming to America" she said, making me smile. "You remembered all that about me?" I asked her a little stunned. "Well yes, you were great company on the plane and so far an amazing assistant, to be honest with you Ryan wanted to give you a permanent job, but since Glee is ending in a few epi..." "Lalalalalalala I don't want to hear it" I interrupted her, holding my hands to my ears, I hated it, knowing Glee is about to end, she laughed out loud at my reaction, holding her hand in front of her mouth, "Oh my, you're too cute. Are you sure you're 20?" she asked, making me blush. "I know it's hard to believe, but be honest do I look like I'm 20?" I asked her, standing up. "Don't answer that, I know what you're thinking" I told her before she could say anything, sitting back down.
"Ciao, com vai?" the waitress asked us. "Ciao, toto bene, grazie" I answered for the both of us, looking at her. "Would you want to order?" she asked, taking out her notepad. "Do you have any lasagne?" Naya asked her, looking up. "Yes we have the one with spinach and the one with tomato sauce", Naya looked at me. "Do you want to share a lasagne with tomato sauce?" "Eh, that's alright with me" I told her, looking at the waitress, "Una lasagna bolognaise para due" I looked back at Naya, "What do you want do drink? Red wine with that is delicious I've been told, only I wouldn't know since I don't drink" I told her, shifting on my seat for a bit. "Doesn't matter to me, what do you want to drink? Just some water or a soda, I'm taking the same?" she asked me, grinning slightly. "Letting me take the decisions huh?" I turned my attention to the waitress "Un cola per me y per la signora una verra de vinno per favour" I said, grinning at Naya, who was looking puzzled at me. "You ordered different things didn't you?" I just smiled, while she shook her head looking amused. "So how is it you know English, Spanish, Italian and whatever language they speak in Belgium?" she asked me, putting her hands together letting her chin rest on them, looking interested.
After a few minutes our order came up and we started eating, for a while the only thing you heard was clinking cutlery and Naya's ring against her glass of wine. "So you majored in psychology? That's really cool, but how did you end up on our set?" she asked me, taking a sip from her wine. "Well, I was just watching some TV when all of a sudden the announcement was on and I immediately went online to write an application for the role. Apparently they already found someone else, but they did offer me a job as assistant, which I think is even better, since I got to meet the whole cast and I can stay longer than just one episode, but I still haven't seen the one who got the part" I added quickly. "Ah I see, yeah they should come in the last episode I think. Ryan didn't tell us exactly when, but it'll be about then" she replied, taking another bite of her lasagne. "This is really good! How did you find this place?" she asked, eyes closed, obviously enjoying the taste. "My friends and I went out because I got the job at Glee and we just discovered it while walking by, I fancied Italian so, here we are" I laughed, throwing my hands dramatically in the air.
"God this lasagne really is delicious, you should complement the cook!" she told me. "Here take another bite" she said, taking some on her fork, offering it to me. I wanted to grab her fork, but she wouldn't let me, "Nooo, let me feed you! Please?" she asked with puppy dog eyes, I couldn't resist, so I let her. "It really is good, and it tastes even better coming from you" I joked, winking at her. She smiled widely, offering me another bite. For once I wasn't thinking about how much calories there were in one bite, let alone the whole lasagne, I let her feed me for a while, but stopped her when I saw there was only one bite left. "That's yours, I want you to have the last bite" I told her, taking her fork, scooping the last bit up, offering her the food. "Open up" I giggled, waiting for her to open her mouth. When she did I carefully placed it in her mouth, slowly pulling it back when she closed her mouth again, her eyes closed. "That good huh?" I chuckled, making her smile, eyes still closed. "It was even better when you gave the last bite" she teased, opening her eyes again.
When we asked for the check I asked for the waitress to get the cook if it was possible. A moment later the waitress came back with the cook, who looked a little nervous. "Was there something wrong?" he asked us. Naya looked up at him, with a big smile, "No, everything was perfect, your lasagne is so damn delicious" she gushed, making the cook smile brightly. "Grazie signora" he told her, "He's thanking you Nay" I said, when she looked funny at me. "Oh, no problem sir" she replied. "Nay, maybe you should write that down on a napkin and sign it or something? I bet he'd love that" I asked her, giving my clean napkin. Naya took my napkin and wrote down what she told the cook, adding her signature and a kiss. "Here you go sir" she said giving him the napkin. I paid for the food and got up, waiting for her to follow me to my car.
"So where are we going to now?" Naya asked me, getting in the passenger seat. "Well eh, I don't know about you, but I wanted to go home" I answered, starting to drive home. "Oh, am I boring you?" she asked, looking down, hiding her face. "What? No, no that's not what I meant, but I thought you wanted to go home and get some rest. You know after all that happened" I said, glancing at her, trying to figure out what she was thinking. "If it's ok with you, I rather not stay alone tonight. I don't want to do something stupid" she told me, looking up. Her eyes were glossy and her bottom lip started to quiver. "It''s alright, you can stay with me, for as long as you want" I answered as I parked my car and got out, hurrying myself to open her door, "We're here by the way" I added with a big smile.
