MacKenzie POV

After my walk with Bubbles I decide to play with her for a bit longer, since Steffie is already working on her paper again and I really need some distraction, before we have that talk. "Bubbles, come here girl!" I call her, patting my lap, which she takes as an invitation to jump right on it. Alright, no playing the, just cuddles. As I cuddle with her on the couch, I let the radio play via my phone, singing along to it.

"This was Demi Lovato, international pop sensation, with her newest single Nightingale!" the presentor said, making me jump up "Miss Lovato is planning on some concerts again, there are only a few and be lucky to get your ticket, because it are small amounts! Lovatics, you know what to do! Here's Chandelier, by Sia..." I pushed Bubbles aside, grabbing my laptop, immediately going to her website, looking for details. "Steffie! Come here please, it's about Demi!" I yelled in the direction of my room, I clicked on the meet and greet tickets, seeing they were quite expensive and just about 30 available. "What is it? Her tickets?" she asked, running out of the room. "Yes! I already reserved two meet and greets and two tickets" I told her as she joined me on the couch with her purse in her hands, searching for her card. "Alright, I'll take it from here" she told me, grabbing the laptop, filling in the needed boxes. After five minutes she looked up at me, with a straight face, which suddenly changed in a massive smile. "We're going to see the queen!" she yelled, putting my laptop away, jumping up and down, me joining her. "Yaaaaaas! I can't wait!" I yelled as well. I turned to Steffie, giving her a big hug. "Thank you so much! I love you" I said, not really thinking about what I said. She froze for a second, but recovered fast "You're welcome Kenzie, love you too" she answered. I pulled back, giving her a big smile "I've got to call Darren, he will want to know if I got the tickets or not" I said, letting go of her. "Is that your phone?" she asked, hearing some silent ringing. "Oh yes, I believe so" I replied, sprinting into the room, seeing it was my mom who was calling me:

M-mum, MK- MacKenzie

M- Hey babygirl, how are you? You haven't called yet.

MK- Oh hey mom, we're doing good, sorry I didn't call you, we were quite busy.
But mom guess what?!
M- You know I'm not good at guessing, what's going on? Did the house burn down?

MK- No no, mom we GOT TICKETS FOR DEMI LOVATO!!! I'M GOING TO MEET MY IDOL!!

M- Will you stop yelling? I'm not deaf you know! But that's amazing babygirl, thank Steffie for me will you? And I'll pay your ticket later this month. When is the concert?

MK- Sorry, I'm just super excited! And it's in three weeks.
Oh God, what am I going to wear, what am I going to say? I totally forgot my mom and I are still on the phone and started to have a panic attack. I tried to walk over to Steffie so she could help me, but I couldn't move. I fell down, trying to get as much air as I could, not succeeding very well. After a while I got my breathing back, right before I started to see black spots.

M- MacKenzie?! Are you still there?!

I heard her voice and realised I was still talking to my mom.

MK- S-sorry mom, I h-had some t-troubles breathing, but I-I'm ok now. I'll call you again in a few days ok?

M- Alright babygirl, speak to you soon, lots of love from your dad and I. Love you!

MK- Love you too mom.

I put my phone down and went back into the living room where Steffie was on Twitter, scrolling through her timeline, favouriting some tweets. "I can't thank you enough for those tickets, but I still want to apologise again for earlier today" I told her, making her close her phone and look up at me. "It's ok, I get that I caught you off guard, but I want you to promise me, you won't do it again. If not for me, for yourself, you don't want to end up in jail do you?" she asked me, of course I don't want to end up in jail, but Darren practically forced me 3 years ago. Maybe there is a way out, but then I would risk being put on the streets by my parents. "Do you?" she repeated. "No, I don't, but you see, I'm being forced doing this, because Darren knows I'm a lesbian and if my parents get to know this I'll be put on the streets and then I have nowhere to go" I told her, looking down. "Didn't you tell me you have a friend who's in the army and his mum could take you in her house?" she said, making me frown. "You mean Angie? Yes, but only when I'm sixteen, because then it'll be legal" I replied, I already thought of that before. I mean I am counting down to the day I can leave this place behind.

"Do you need any help with dinner?" I asked, not even sure what we were going to eat. "Oh no, it'll be done in a few minutes, you can put the table though if you want to" Steffie said, putting her phone away, going into the kitchen. I followed her to see what was for dinner and walked further to lay the table. Chicken and rice well at least I don't hate any of it. After a few minutes, Steffie came and put the plates on the table.

"So about earlier, this Darren kid is the one who made you do this. So I'm guessing you had to meet him after orchestra for it and not for some kind of project?" Oh boy here we go...
