Steffie POV
You might think what I did was me overreacting, but I didn't want to relive everything that happened in that creepy little place. Everything Naya would do, would remind me of Rick, touching me everywhere. I didn't want to have those flashbacks anymore, especially not when I would associate Naya's sweet intentions with Rick's horrible ones. I pulled out my phone, sending Naya a text saying "I got home safe. I really am sorry about earlier, but I believe I need some time to come to terms with the events that happened with John and Rick. I'll see you back on set tomorrow for the wedding scene with Ken. Have a good night, babe"
After that I turned off my phone and got on my laptop, searching for help to process the past events, I know I'm a psychological consultant myself, but that doesn't mean I can't seek out for help myself. I sent an e-mail to a promising therapist and decided to call it a day.Naya POV
"I'm so sorry Naya, I love you" then she ran out of my apartment. What just happened? One moment we were making out and the other she throws me off and runs out. It took me a moment to realise my phone buzzed, signalising I received a message. I felt stupid for not taking in account what happened between her and Rick. Of course I must have triggered some memories of what happened. I replied with a short message, but I failed to deliver, she must have turned off her phone. Sighing I called Demi, asking her to come over and lastly ordered some take out.Half an hour later Demi called, "Hey Nay, I'm at your door, got the food, and don't worry about paying, I got that covered for you!"
"Dems...that wasn't necessary, but thanks, I'll let you in in a second" hanging up the phone, I opened the door, seeing a bright smiling Demi. "You look so chipper today, what's up?" I asked while hugging her. "I'm just glad to see my friend again, that's all, plus I got the food!" The moment she released, she skipped into my apartment, getting some plates out of the cabinet. Smiling at her dorkiness I followed her, closing the door behind me. She was putting the food on the plates while humming a new tune. "Are there words to the tune?" I asked, grabbing the plates and placing them on the coffee table in front of the TV. "Oh yeah, it's not finished yet, but it'll come to me when it's ready" Demi replied, sitting on the couch next to me, a glass of water and a glass of wine in her hands. Funny how she knows what I need without having to ask me. Of course we've dated for a while, but still I like it, some people would have forgotten all about it. "Thank you, I really needed that" I told her, taking the glass of wine off her, sipping lightly from the glass. "Everything alright?" Demi asked, turning to me, not touching the food yet. "We'll talk about it later, for now I'm hungry and I don't want the food to get cold"
"Alright, no need to tell me more, whenever you're ready" she said, grabbing the plates handing me one. I placed my wineglass on the table and slowly started eating the delicious food.
"Any chance I get to hear the words to that tune you hummed earlier?" I asked curiously, I really wanted to hear her sing again, in a way it always calmed me down, power of music I'm guessing. Our duets also sounded awesome, but I prefer her singing to me. "I told you Nay, it's not finished yet" she countered. "But Dems, just a tiny bit? Please?" I fake begged, giving her the puppy dog eyes. She laughed, shaking her head; "God, don't do that to me anymore, but okay, only because it's you though. Remember the tune I was humming?" she asked, humming again "Yes, want me to hum it while you sing?" she nodded in response, motioning for me to start singing the tune. As I started humming she closed her eyes for a moment and started singing, looking at me; "Got my mind on your body and your body on my mind. Got a taste for the cherry I just need to take a bite. Don't tell your mother, kiss one another, die for each other, we're cool for the summer..." when she sang, she danced a bit in her seat, biting her lip from time to time.
