Steffie POV

I didn't want to force Naya into telling me about the past events, but I needed her to get it all off her chest. It's never good to keep bottling things up and keep things to you until you explode, I want to be there for her as long as she wanted or needed me. I took the glass of water from her and looked at her expectantly. "Alright let's get this over with then" she said, sitting down next to me.

"Demi and I we've been dating for over a year, but the last months, we were fighting more than ever. About the stupidest things, for example if one of us had to fly over the country we'd get mad because we were never together anymore. We just didn't care anymore about what the other was doing and only concentrated on our own schedules" Naya started, closing her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. "But when she went out with Wilmer again, I knew it was over, I guess I should've known she would go back to him. I mean I can't blame her, he's a great guy, he might have made a mistake in the past, but he's better for her than I am" I just let her talk, grabbing her hand for reassurance. "But how do you feel now, because I saw you two last night and I don't know if you were just frustrated or mad or angry or I don't know?" I asked her, trying to read her face.

"I was in a way relieved, you know, because finally I had the confirmation that it was really over. Of course I'm sad about what happened, like I said we've been dating for over a year, but it went down so fast. Actually it went down at her last concert in Springfield" she told me, looking to our entwined hands. "The concert I went to with my friend MacKenzie you mean?" I asked as a confirmation. "Yes, that's the one I mean" she replied, looking up at me with a smile. "We did sing together on stage that night, but there was no energy anymore between us. She didn't know at that time, but I knew she was seeing Wilmer then. It might have been even longer, but to be honest with you, I don't care anymore. I'm happy we broke up, because now I can move on and just focus on me for a while" Naya said, smiling a little more.

We talked a little longer, until it was time for me to leave. "Nay, I think I should go, I have to work tomorrow" I said, slowly getting up from the couch, putting the glass away. "Work? But we don't have any shootings until next week?" she asked surprised, getting up as well. "No no, not as assistant but I have a job as a therapist in Chapin private school" I told her, gathering my stuff. "Chapin private school? Wow that's just...wow, that's really impressive Steffie! It's a really high recommended school" Naya told me, looking shocked. I thanked her, lifting my hand to close her mouth; "Keep your mouth closed hun, you'll start catching flies". She blushed and smiled; "Thanks Steffie, do you want me to take you home? I wouldn't want you to take a cab at this hour. A girl alone in NYC..." she stated. "Well if you don't mind I'd love to have another ride in your car, that thing is amazing!" I exclaimed, thinking about the drive to Naya's apartment, grabbing my shoes and putting them on, when suddenly I felt a whack on my butt. "What the!? Naya!" I yelled, but got interrupted by her, "Don't you ever call my baby 'that thing' again, you hear me?" she said with a straight face. I didn't know what to say and just stood there rubbing my butt, trying to come up with words but nothing came, until Naya started laughing. "I got you didn't I? I'm kidding you know, but I really do love my car, so please respect her a little" she giggled, giving me a hug, letting me process what just happened. "Come on, I'll get you home" she said, grabbing her keys and pushing me out of the door, to her car.

When we arrived at my apartment, we both got out and walked over to my door, while I was searching for my key to open the door, "Thanks for driving me home Naya" I smiled at her, my hand on the knob. "It was my pleasure, see you tomorrow Steffie" she replied, giving me a quick hug before walking off, back to her car. Just when I wanted to close my door I heard a deafening scream. "Naya?!" I ran back outside, looking for Naya, when I found her at her car, shaking like a leaf. "Naya? What's wrong?" I asked, looking at her, she looked a bit pale and couldn't bring out a word. "Naya?" I tried again, but she only pointed to her car door, I followed her finger and started laughing out loud when I saw a big spider hanging on the door. "Really Naya? Are you scared from that silly thing? It's a fake!" I got out through my giggles. "Someone must have hung it there while we were inside" I kept giggling while taking the plastic spider off the door. Naya was still a bit quiet, but slowly regained her composure. "Do you want to come in and drink anything or are you going home?" I asked, trying to hide my smile. "C-Can I come inside and stay the night?" she asked, turning towards me. "Sure, but you didn't bring any overnight clothes" I replied, but she shook her head and just walked inside with me, saying she'd borrow the same clothes she wore last night.

"Hello ladies, did you like my little surprise?" Sam asked, when we were about to enter my apartment. "Your surprise?! Why the hell did you do that to me? I-I..." Naya yelled at her, making Sam laugh uncontrollably. "Sorry Hotvera, I was just really bored and hung the little guy on a random car, I didn't know it was yours" she said, trying to stop snorting. "B-Bored?" Naya asked in disbelief, "Wow em okay", she didn't say anything else, but went inside and left me alone with Sam. I gave her a look, "You knew that was Naya's car, didn't you?" She just smiled at me, confirming it, "Yeah I did, but come on, it was funny, and aren't you happy she's staying the night again?" she asked, sending a smirk. I rolled my eyes, knowing I did like it Naya was going to spend another night at my place, "I do like it, but you didn't have to scare her like that you know. By the way, how was your job interview at the Café?" I asked her, leaning on the doorframe. "It went great! I have the job, the waitress remembered me from the time we both went there and she told me that you and Naya went there. And well I think that sealed the deal since it's because of Naya they're getting a lot more costumers" she told me all cheery. "That's great to hear Sam! We'll have to celebrate that with Daniel and Julie" I said, being happy for her. "And maybe she should come too" Sam smirked, nodding her head in the direction of the door. "Oh shush you!" I replied, sticking out my tongue, when suddenly I felt two arms sneak around my waist, "Are you coming Steffie? I thought you needed to work tomorrow?" Naya asked me, leaning her head on my shoulder. "Sure, I was just congratulating Sam on her job..." I started. "And she wanted to celebrate it, but wouldn't invite you" Sam added, earning a glare from me. "Why wouldn't you invite me?" Naya asked, letting go of me. I glared at Sam again, turning to Naya, "I just thought you wouldn't want to come, I mean it's just us four and it's nothing really special". "If it's enough to celebrate it then I want to come" Naya said, looking at Sam, "So can I?" she asked, looking at the both of us. "Of course, it wouldn't be the same without you Hotvera!" Sam smiled, "But I'll let you two go to bed, have a great night!" she yelled, running up the stairs to her apartment. "God, she can be so annoying" I muttered under my breath before walking inside and getting ready for bed.

When we were in my bed Naya sat up, "Why didn'tyou want me to come to the celebration?" she asked, playing with her fingers. "It'snot that I didn't want you to come, I just thought you had more important stuffto do", "And Sam only asked you, to tease me" I added in a whisper, hoping shewouldn't hear me. "Tease you? How?" she asked, turning on her side to lookstraight at me. I was relieved the lights were dimmed, because my face turnedbright red, "Because she knows how much I really like you"
