Smart

I ignored Alex as he walked into the house walking straight to the Refrigerator , I watched him from the corner of my eyes As he took water and drank deeply before sighing.

"How was your day and why are you so quiet?" He asked coming to lie beside me with his head on my thighs.

"It was nice but I left the office early if you didn't notice" I smiled.

"Yeah,where did you go to?" He asked looking at my face.

"Lady took me to an early dinner to kindly ask me to watch over Blossom while she takes you to a surprise weekend" I looked at him for the first time that day.

" Smart... Common" He began.

"She told me that your sex life have been going down the drain and she wanted to spice it up" I said.

"She's my girlfriend.. And I didn't even know she was planning  a get away" He sat up crossing his hand over my legs to trap me in his arms.

"Don't you get the point? I have to be here baby sitting your kid while imagining what you guys are doing where ever, she's taking you to" I shrugged.

"Baby, we've gone over this before" He whispered.

"You told me you would leave her after Blo's  fifth birthday, she's six now" I said.

"Sm... I love you.. God knows that I can't even live a moment without you.. you're my Energizer bunny..." He smiled when my sad face broke into a small laugh at the Nick name.

"I love you too but it's not enough,.. not anymore, I want to have you beside my bed every night, holding me whenever I'm cold or..." I began.

He kissed me shutting me up.

"And I'll do it... We've been together for eight years.. I'll get married to you, I promise but I still need time. My heart belongs to you... Give me a month.. just a month" He said.

"A month.. this time or we are breaking up for good" I look at him with a serious eyes.

"Thank you.." He smiled placing little teasing kisses on my mouth, I groaned in frustration capturing his mouth in a deep kiss putting my hands around his neck.

His phone rang abruptly alarming us apart.

He picked up the phone by the hush tones, I knew he was talking to Lady.

I drew my leg up against my chest hugging them closing.

"Smart, you know how much I hate you sitting that way" He said.

"Oh.. I was just cold.. I wanna cuddle but I have no one to cuddle with" I smiled.

" Don't sit that way,I hate it..it's Lady,I'm going over there,Blossom ate too much ice cream and has stomach cramps..she wants to tuck her in"He said.

" Go ahead,it's your kid"I nodded.

" Don't be like that,I love you"He smiled.

" Yeah yeah"I rolled my eyes.
" I love you,I love you,I love you so much"He kept on muttering .

" I know"I laughed.

" Goodnight my love...l love you..I'll call you"He said picking up his jacket and walking out of the house.

",I love you too"I muttered into the empty night.
