"Martina, you might want to sit beside me so we can properly talk about it. Why are you so aloof? Don't you want us to discuss this once and for all?"

I actually want to. I just don't know if I can. When we left the palace, I was feeling okay, but when we reached the villa, everything flashed back. Madame Simone and this unfortunate predicament.

After a while and a bit of contemplating, I mustered the courage to tell him about it. I sat on the couch across the bed and not beside him as how he wanted me to. With that, his face turned a bit offended.

"She...talked to me. Your future wife."

His brows furrowed.

"Anais?"

I nodded. I'm sure he was more than surprised and I believed he was expecting for me to tell him something different. Perhaps he's expecting to hear about my sudden closeness to Maks or maybe he was waiting for me to apologize that I missed his 64 calls and tons of voice messages. He didn't expect something like this...

He rose from the bed and waited for me to continue.

"Tell me. What happened. What did she tell you."

I looked away...

"W-why...is there something she shouldn't be telling me?"

I responded in away he'd be baffled as I wanted to see how much he cares about me. I know he does but I want to see how he'll respond to a subtle and baseless accusation. Now annoyed, he walked towards my direction and stood there like he's ready to reprimand me.

"This is why I'm asking you. There isn't much between Anais and I for me to hide something from you and why would I even do that. Martina, I would never cheat on you. If I have to choose another woman I'd simply break up with you. Cheating was never my game. Remember, commitment wasn't something I'm used to before I met you. So when it comes to that, I'm impossible."
