"Hey, are you okay? Just smile baby girl...fake it till we make it."

He squeezed my hand, appearing cool on the outside but I know for sure that this whole banquet thing stresses him out. I took a deep breath as we continued going around and greeting people. Occasionally I'd receive glances from those who would greet the Wintour heir...just giving me speculating looks. I didn't have to wonder why. I didn't probably fit their overtly posh taste. I was obviously and silently criticized.

Oppa felt my discomfort. My anxiety lessened whenever he gave me light kisses at the side of my head and he didn't let go of my hand even if these people ignored me. I looked around and noted our friends and the smiles on their faces. They look comfortable in these kinds of gathering... even Pearl unnie. I did attend a couple of banquets with my parents but not as grandeur and classy as this one. Elites, celebrities and on the top of the list are the titled and royals. I'm nothing like them.

I'm just a commoner and a broke one on top of that. 😕

"Louise!"

A voice interrupted my thoughts and I automatically looked at the direction where it came from.

A tall, short-haired classy lady about oppa's age suddenly approached and wrapped her arms around him...but what truly surprised me was the sudden smack on oppa's lips. She was a very friendly woman though. Unlike the other people who we've greeted, she gleefully introduced herself to me.

"I never thought I'd see you here!"

Oppa happily smiled like the kiss didn't even bother him.

"Emilia, it's been a while."

Lost in translation, I just smiled at them like I understood their conversation. What really intrigued me was the surprise on her face when oppa answered her question which I was truly clueless about. 😕

Emilia eyed me for a while then a wry smile painted on my face. Afterwards had spoken to oppa again before she left. She smiled at me. 😀

She's so nice. ☺

I wonder what her question was, that oppa's response startled her.

Maybe...she asked him if we're dating and he said yes. 🙄

Well... that must be it. 😐
