We haven't talked since we left Paris. He decided to give me a silent treatment and I did the same as well. I never received any comfort...well he's probably preoccupied by a lot of things as well. That manner, alone, confirmed what I feared about.

It's probably his child.

A day...a week passed and we're truly immersed in our own worlds, our own thoughts. The love story we had suddenly turned humdrum. Everyday was a misery for me...

This isn't how things are supposed to be. Suddenly, I stopped dreaming of the future. The zest of life I tried so hard to rebuild after my parents died, now gone.

I sadly realized the connection the three of us have...as long as Lily is involved, I will never be happy. I guess the only choice I have is to walk away from everything and everyone.

But God I love this man so much.

Why is it always me that has to step down? Don't I deserve happiness too?

For a week, I've thought about how at some point I can salvage this fading trust and the fear I have within. If he won't tell me, then I might as well confirm it from the one who started it all. I don't care about the outcome but in my heart, I still have this hope that it's still worth fighting for.

And if all things fail...

At least I was able to feel what true love and a painful heartbreak is all about. I'm young...I may forget the pain in time but certainly not the way this man made me feel.

For the last time, I eyed myself at the mirror...
