"Bonjour, j'ai attendu ... j'ai attendu ... euh ... Comment était ... était ... arghhh! 😣"

Once again, I took a deep breath. I never expected any of this to be easy. From adjusting to a life without oppa beside me and whenever I need him, to learning French in secret for him. I want to greet him in French and maybe have a small conversation... learning the language while he was away.

Away...

It's been more than 8 weeks since the last time I've seen him. When he came back after his so called visit to Ms. Ruis with the royal Austrian siblings, I didn't get the chance to see him. Royal obligations took most of his time. Also the untimely death of Russian royals obligated him to return immediately to Russia.

Then just now, I was given with a personal royal letter from his highness by the butler. It says  that it might take him, the prince a few more weeks to return because Ms. Ruis, finally gave birth to a son and he needed to accompany his friend, the Russian prince.

Sadness consumed me.

I wasn't even allowed to call him anymore. He can call me but I can't.

Even messages are prohibited now.

I guess every call is monitored. Well maybe he just wanted to protect his privacy.

I held my breath, holding tears to freely escape my eyes...

I set my notes aside where I write down everything. The phrases that I was learning for weeks... words...

Everything.

What's the use of practicing now. He isn't coming anyway. Instead, I checked all the forms that that Ms. Laura gave me.

Laura Higgins, is the assistant, oppa assigned to look after me. She's English/Scottish so I was instantly comfortable around her company. She's nice, proper and caring too which I must say was pretty uncommon for the English. Well she grew up in America so I guess her sweet nature has something to do with the environment she grew up with. I love it when she automatically switches into her born accent whenever she talks to me. But there are times that she would stick with her American accent. She came here to study and decided to stay here for good. She has started working for the Wintours four years ago. Assisting on their businesses in the country.

"Hey lovely lass, you done with all the Marie Antoinette-ing ?"

I chuckled and shrugged. She placed a tray of tea on the center table and urged me to sit with her.
