Chapter: 26
I put everything in my duffle and I put a few things in my Chanel bag. I spray my blackberry perfume and place it in the duffle. I sit on the bed and put on my shoes. I put my other purse in my duffle and zip it up. I grab it and the Chanel bag and duffle and we all go downstairs. We downstairs and everyone is having a drink and it talking around the living room. I can't help but feel nervous as I see Patrick.
Wow, does he look good. He's wearing black pants a white button down that is open about half way a medium blue velvet blazer with some darker blue scroll patter on it and some black boots. Holy shit I've never seen him look like this before as he smiles at me as I walk down the stairs. I walk right to him and he gives me a peck on the cheek
'Holy shit, Jo. You're the most breathtaking thing I have ever seen. You look beautiful like a goddess' he tells me staring at me. I turn a bright shade of red 'Wow thanks, babe, you look fantastic. I have never seen you so handsome' I tell him he gives me a quick peck on the lips and we head into the living room. Everyone is talking to each other and having a good time. We all take turns taking photos with each other. Jimmy and Molly look cute. Jimmy is wearing some brown pants, a white shirt and light yellow blazer. I'm sure Molly wanted them to match. Anthony looks good too in his read and black plaid pants, white shirt, black blazer and a bow tie. They look matching too but I don't think they planned it. We take a few more photos and then we go outside.
My parents and Patrick's parents come up to us. My mom is wearing her new Halston tan dress with the cape and my dad is wearing a grey suit with a hunter green shirt. Patrick's dad is wearing a business suit with a pale blue shirt and he is hiding his girlfriends hand. She's wearing some long white pants and a pale blue wrap top and they both look nice.
We all talk for a while before Patrick opens the passenger side door for me and climbs into the drivers seat of my car. We wave to our parents as we leave. We drive to the school and we park. He turns and places his hands on my face gently so he doesn't mess up my makeup and kisses me and I melt into the kiss. We break apart and he says
'I have something for you' as he pulls out a jewelry box.
He opens it and reveals and pair of earring in the shape of a poppy, they are gold and have a diamond in the middle. They are beautiful.
'Patrick they are beautiful thank you, but you didn't have to get me anything' I tell him, smiling.
He smiles 'I wanted to give you something so you could remember tonight and they aren't even close to being as beautiful as you, love' he says and I smile.
I take the box and I take them out and I look in the rear view mirror as I put them in my ears. They look perfect.
'I love them, thank you' I kiss him and he deepens the kiss.
I lose track of time as we kiss and then we pull apart and we both smile at each other. I fix my dress and re apply my lipstick and put it back in my Chanel bag. Patrick gets out and open my door and then closes it. He takes my hand and we lace our fingers together. We walk into the gym and there are streamers and balloons everywhere. There is a dj at the front on the stage and there are tables around the gym with white and blue table clothes on them. There is a long table with snacks and a few punch bowls on it. There are some couples dancing and some kids sitting around. I can feel a few people stare at me as we walk to a table.
'You know everyone is looking at how gorgeous you look right?' Patrick leans in and whispers to me 'All the guys are practically drooling at the sight of you.'
'Well they need to know they don't have any chance' I say bringing him in for a long deep kiss.
My hands go around his neck and he holds me close with his arms around me. We pull apart and I can see a few guys get annoyed and roll their eyes and some girls are whispering but I don't even care. After about 15 minutes the others show up and we all sit down at a table. We all laugh and Molly, Jen and I dance to "Henry the 8th' by Hermits, Hermits and laugh the whole times as we sing loudly to the words 'No Sam, No Sam' as the song ends I see Katie and her friends standing by the table. They are all wearing similar dresses in different colors. Its empire waist dress with a full tule skirt, Katie's is pink, Mary's is white and Darcys is an ugly orange color. They all have matching sweaters over the dress. I'm Not Your Stepping Stone by The Monkees comes on and it seems like the perfect song to be playing right now. I walk over to them.
