Chapter: 67
Patrick brings me some aspirin and a big glass of water. 'Thanks babe' I say trying to sit up.
'Here, let me help you' he says lifting me gently so I can take the pills.
It hurts my lip to drink cause of cut from Darcy hitting me. I lay back down and Patrick sets the glass down. He changes into so pajamas pants and a black tee shirt and lays down next to me.
'Are you okay?' I ask him. He nods.
'Yeah, surprisingly I feel relieved that it's over and very happy you're okay' he says stroking my hair.
'To be honest, besides the pain, I feel numb. I know what was going to happen if you weren't there but I guess somehow I knew that you were there because I trust you with my literally. I knew everything was going to be okay' I say.
He smiles and kisses my forehead. 'Try to sleep. I will be right here if you need anything' he says.
I nod 'I love you' I say.
'I love you so much' he says kissing my head again.
I fall asleep quickly and surprising I don't have a single nightmare.
The next day I wake up and Patrick is next me in bed sitting up and reading a Rolling Stone Magazine.
'Hey, baby you're up' he says kissing my for head.
'Can I go to the bathroom?' I say smiling and he laughs 'Yeah let me help you up' he says gettin out of bed and helping me stand.
We walk to the bathroom. I use the bathroom and I wash my hair. I look in the mirror.
'I look like fucking hell' I say to Patrick.
I have a cut on my lip that is bruised and red marks around my wrists. I open Patrick's shirt and I see my stomached wrapped in bandages
'Julia, my dad and your mom stopped by but you were asleep. I talked with my dad while Julia sat with you. He knows what happened and he's upset but knows he brought this upon himself. I was so worried he would blame me but he doesn't at all. Julia brought food over and said she will be back tomorrow to keep you company.' He tells me, tearing up.
'I'm so happy you talked with your dad' I say smiling.
He smiles 'Yeah me too' he says then the door bell rings. 'Thats the doctor' he says belong me to bed and he runs to the door.
Dr. Green comes into the bed room.
'Jo, how are you feeling?' He asks me.
I smile 'I'm okay. My stomach hurts but I'm okay' I say.
'I want to make sure everything looks okay and give you some pain pills so you can sleep and be more comfortable.' He says.
I nod and he unwraps the badges and looks at the slide Darcy made.
'Can you get me a wet cloth?' He asks Patrick and he runs into the bathroom and comes back with warm rag.
Dr. Green gently cleans up the wound and wipes off the dried blood carefully.
'It looks good. It's not very deep, you got very lucky that it wasn't deeper. I don't think you need stitches. It should heel fairly quickly, just keep it clean and change the dressing everyday. It's a good sign that it's not bleeding still' he says changing the dressing and wraps me back up.
'Thank you for coming all the way here, Dr. Green' I say.
'Oh, it was my pleasure, you have a lovely home. If you need anything just call me, all right' he says and I nod.
