Chapter: 25
The next morning I sleep in a little and I wake up around 11 am. I roll out of bed and shuffle to the bathroom. I go to the bathroom and then turn on the shower and I let it heat up. I take off my pajamas and grab a towel. I step into the shower and wash my hair, shave and wash my body.
I get out about and half hour later and I comb through my hair. I walk back to my room and I put on some white lacy underwear, some jean sorts, and a black tube top. I can't wear a bra with the dress so there's no need to wear one now. I decide to pack a bag just in case so I put in a pair of under wear, a pair of jean shorts, a black spaghetti strap tank top and my denim vest from last night. I also throw in a black slip with lace on the trim that I got at Victoria's Secret all into my Gucci duffle. I also pack a rust colored bikini and a beach towel. I look at the clock and put the Chanel bag in my duffle. I don't bother bringing any makeup or hair stuff to Mollys because between her and her mom they have everything we need. I grab my purse, duffle and my dress and I head downstairs.
No one is around when I go into the kitchen. I glance at the clock and it's almost noon so I grab my keys and I head outside. I put my dress flat against the back seat and I put my purse and duffle on the passenger seat. I drive to Molly's house and I grab my stuff. I walk up to the front door and ring the bell. The door opens revealing Molly's mom. She's wearing some white shorts, a white tee and a hot pink sweater tired around her shoulders.
'Hi, Mrs. Wells how are you today?' I say with a smile and she lets me pass her.
'Jo, Honey I'm great. Aren't you excited for tonight?' She asks me.
I smile 'Sure am, thanks' I tell her.
'Good Molly is upstairs with Jen, I will be down in the kitchen in you need anything hun' she says and I smile and walk up the stairs.
I get to Molly's room and I don't even bother knocking cause her music is so loud she won't even hear me. I hear "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison playing on the radio as I open the door.
'Hey guys' I say walking in.
'Hey, how's it going?' Molly says getting up from the floor where her and Jen are sitting.
'We were just about to do our nails, you can hang you dress on the closet door and set down your stuff' Molly adds.
'Sounds good. What color are you painting you nails?' I ask. Both of them before sitting down.
'I was thinking a hot pink cause it will look cute with my yellow dress' Molly says filing her nails.
'Red for sure, to match my dress. Where did you end up getting a dress Jo?' Jen asks me.
'My mom had some stuff to pick up on Rodeo so she ended up getting me one from Halston.' I tell them.
'Really? That's amazing I can't wait to see it' Jen says, smiling.
'Yeah Jo's mom loves everything fashion and designer. She always looks so good' Molly says.
Jen then takes her hand and starts painting the nails in a hot pink color.
We talk and take turns painting each others nails and I decide on a nude color and Jen paints them for me. Molly's mom knocks and brings us some glasses of lemonade on a tray. She tells us that she will bring us some fruit and snacks in a little bit. Once our nails are dry Jen starts on Molly's hair. She brushes it and takes a curling iron and curling some of the pieces. She leaves out her bangs and parts her hair on the side rather than down the middle. She sections off parts and curl them and then pins them up on top of her head. The she takes her bangs and swoops them up and pins them. She leaves on curl out on the other side and the sprays the crap out of her hair with the hairspray and when she's done it looks so good.
'Jen you should do this for a living, it looks so good' I tell her.
Molly gets up and looks in the mirror and lets out a squeal 'Oh my god thank you so much, it looks amazing' she says giving her a hug. "She's Not There" by The Zombies starts playing on the radio and I smile as Jen sings along, quietly.
Molly and I start on Jen's hair. We wet it and then brush out the natural curls and tease it up and pin it to the top of her head. We leave her bangs out and pin them so it frames her face. Then we pin a small red bow in it. It's super cute on her and she doesn't look like herself. She looks much older and like a modern city girl.
Jen looks in the mirror 'Oh wow, you guys I don't even look like myself. How did you do this?' She asks, surprised.
'It wasn't that hard, we can show you some time.' I tell her and Molly nods 'I'm glad you like it, you look so good.'
Jen starts on my hair and I decide that I want a more relaxed look. Jen puts my hair is a half pony tail on top of my head. Then she lightly curls it and then brushes it out with a brush so it's more wavy than curls. She wraps a section of the hair around the pony tail to hide the rubber band. She tease the pony tail a little so it its fluffy. I look in the mirror and it looks so good. Its perfect for what I was going for, not to dressy and laid back.
'Jen it looks so good, you did exactly what I was picturing in my head' I tell her giving her a hug.
She gives me a huge smile 'Good I'm glad' Jen says.
Molly grabs her makeup trunk, and when I say trunk I mean like a small trunk. Molly does the best make out of all of us so we let her do it for us. Her mom brings us some fruit salad, some pretzels and some hand and cheese sandwiches.
Molly does her makeup as Jen and I eat. She does a petal pink eye look with a small cat eye. She puts some darker pink on her lower lash line. She then does some foundation and loads up on the pink blush. She adds a lot of mascara and then tops it off with some pink lipstick and gloss.
Then she does Jen's makeup. She keeps the eyes simple because she wants to do a bold lip. She adds a little bit of shiny champagne shimmer on her eye lids and then adds a dramatic cat eye. She puts foundation on and some natural looking blush. She then puts on a red lipstick to finish the look.
Now it's my turn, I normally don't ware tons of makeup but I want it to look perfect. We decide not to do any eyeshadow apart from some metallic gold in the very inner corner and some navy blue on the bottom lash line. She does a navy blue cat eye and we use a navy blue mascara to add just a little bit more navy. We do my foundation and use a natural blush and a nude lip. It looks so good and I would never have been able to do this myself.
We hang out and talk until it's about 5 pm and we start to hear the door bell ringing. I think our parents are starting to show up so we all put on our dresses.
'Wow you guys look so pretty' I tell them coming out of the bathroom.
'Thanks, but wow you look so good in that dress, Jo' Molly says
'Patrick is going to cream his pants when he see you' Jen says and I laugh and shake my head.
I look in the mirror and it does look super good. Molly's mom opens the door 'You girls all look amazing, whenever you're ready everyone is here.' Janet says to us.
