AS YOU sipped on your milkshake, you couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in your Serpent jacket. Despite Veronica's disapproval, it was a symbol of your commitment to the club and the sense of family it provided.

But the mere sight of the jacket caused Veronica to purse her lips, a sign that she was not happy. 'You know I don't like you wearing that thing,' she said, her voice taking on a hard edge.

'I know,' you replied, trying to stay calm. 'But it's a part of who I am, Ronnie. The Serpents are my family.'

'But they're trouble,' she argued. 'And they keep you from focusing on our relationship. Don't you see that?'

The tension between you was palpable, and you struggled to find a way to reconcile your commitment to the Serpents with your love for Veronica.

You were steadfast in your loyalty to the Serpents. No matter how much Veronica protested, you knew that walking away from them was not an option.

As you sat there, lost in thought, the familiar ring of the diner bell announced the arrival of a new customer. And when you looked up, your breath caught in your throat.

Cheryl Blossom had just walked in, her red Serpent jacket on full display. She took a seat at the bar, and you watched her as she seemed to order the usual.

Without thinking, you motioned Pop over and told him to add Cheryl's order to your bill. Veronica shot you a look of pure annoyance.

'What was that for?' she demanded, her voice low and tense.

'It's just a gesture of goodwill,' you replied, shrugging. But even you couldn't deny the flutter in your chest that came from seeing Cheryl. What was it about her that had suddenly caught your attention in such a way?

You couldn't tear your eyes away from Cheryl. Even from across the diner, you could sense her presence - the way she carried herself, the confidence in her demeanor, the mystery that seemed to follow her like a perfume.

Veronica, seeing your gaze fixed on Cheryl, waved her hand in front of your face. 'Babe?' she said, snapping you back to reality.

'What?' you asked, feeling a flush of embarrassment creeping up your neck.

She sighed, a look of resignation on her face. 'Go,' she said, a small, sad smile playing on her lips.

'Huh?' you said, still not quite understanding.

'Don't be dumb, y/n,' she replied. 'Go to her. It's okay. I'll be fine.'

And just like that, you were given permission to follow your heart. But as you stood up, a mix of excitement and guilt swirling in your stomach, you couldn't help but wonder what this would mean for your relationship with Veronica.

You felt a knot in your stomach as you approached Cheryl, unsure of how she would react. But her smile gave you hope.

'Hey!' Cheryl said as you approached, her voice warm and welcoming.

'Hey, Cher,' you replied, nerves causing your voice to crack slightly. 'Can I tell you something?'

'Yeah,' she replied, tilting her head to the side. 'What's up?'

You took a deep breath. 'I'm in love with you. Like, a lot.'

Cheryl raised her eyebrows, a playful smirk playing on her lips. 'But?' she prompted.

'Veronica knows,' you said. 'She's okay with it. I want to be with you.'

'I want to be with you too,' Cheryl replied, her smirk growing wider. And in that moment, you knew that, no matter what happened next, things were about to change in a big way.
