You and Veronica sat across from each other, the soft glow of candlelight casting shadows on the walls. The air was thick with unspoken emotion as you both gazed into each other's eyes, lost in the moment.
Suddenly, Veronica reached out, her hand brushing against your cheek as she gently tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. Her touch was light, but it sent a shiver down your spine.
"You're so beautiful," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.
Your heart skipped a beat at her words, and you felt your cheeks flush. "Thank you," you managed to reply, your voice barely above a whisper.
Veronica smiled softly, her gaze never leaving yours. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as you both basked in the intimacy of the moment. Then, with a gentle touch, Veronica pulled away, her hand lingering for a moment longer before falling back to her side.
