Y/n and Betty sat at the Cooper's kitchen table, the weight of the recent revelation heavy in the air. Y/n had just discovered that her father had been working for Hiram Lodge in a way she could have never fathomed. The shock was still there, and Y/n couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the situation.
Betty, ever the supportive partner, placed a comforting hand on Y/n's knee. The simple gesture spoke volumes and Y/n's heart swelled with gratitude for Betty's unwavering presence in her life.
"I'm sorry, Betty," Y/n sighed, her voice tinged with guilt. "I keep dragging you into all of my family's messes. I promised to focus on us more." She buried her face in her hands, unable to meet Betty's gaze.
Gently, Betty pulled Y/n's hands away from her face, holding them in her own. "It's okay," she reassured her, her voice steady and strong. "I just want you to be safe. That's all that matters."
Y/n's heart ached as she thought about the secrets that seemed to never end with her family. "I don't think I can go back," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Betty nodded in understanding, her eyes filled with empathy. "You can stay here for a few days until we get this figured out," she offered. "My mom won't mind. She loves you."
A small chuckle escaped Y/n's lips, and she sighed in relief. "I don't deserve you," she murmured, her eyes locked with Betty's.
Betty smiled softly, her hand moving from Y/n's knee to her cheek, cupping it gently. "Yes, you do," she whispered, leaning in to place a tender kiss on Y/n's lips.
As they pulled away, Y/n felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. With Betty by her side, she knew they could face anything together.
