You couldn't believe your eyes when you saw Archie hanging off your window ledge in the middle of the night. 'It's three in the morning, what the hell are you doing here?' you asked your boyfriend.

'I can't sleep!' he exclaimed.

'Get in before you fall, idiot!' You pulled him into your room. 'Why can't you sleep?'

As Archie curled up beside you, his breath steady and warm against your shoulder, you could feel the tension slowly seeping out of him. 'I keep having nightmares about...' he began, his voice quiet and tentative.

'It's okay, you don't have to talk about it now,' you murmured, running your fingers through his hair in a comforting gesture. 'Just come lay down and get some rest.'

Archie pressed his forehead against yours, his eyes haunted. 'I'm sorry for waking you up.''Don't be,' you reassured him, pulling him closer. 'You would do the same for me. You can always come to me when you need a shoulder to lean on.'

Archie nodded gratefully, his expression softening as he wrapped his arms around you. 'We can talk about it in the morning, if you want,' he said, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.'Sounds good. And you could've just used my door, you know. My parents are out of town this week,' you teased, earning a laugh from Archie.
