THE day had started like any other. You walked into school, books in hand, prepared for another mundane Monday. But as you opened your locker, a small folded note fluttered to the ground.

Frowning, you picked it up and unfolded it.

"You looked really pretty yesterday. - ❤️"

Your heart skipped a beat. Glancing around the hallway, you searched for anyone acting suspicious, but everyone seemed busy with their own routines.

This wasn't the first note you'd found in your locker. For the past week, someone had been leaving these little messages—sweet, thoughtful, and surprisingly personal. Yesterday's note had said, "Your laugh is my favorite sound."

You couldn't figure out who it was. None of your friends had confessed to it, and the handwriting didn't match anyone's you recognized. Whoever it was, they were good at staying anonymous.

But this note...this one was different. The mention of how you looked yesterday meant they'd been paying close attention.

Curious, you tucked the note into your bag and resolved to keep an eye out for your secret admirer.

By lunchtime, you'd narrowed your suspects to three: Archie, who had smiled at you in homeroom this morning; Jughead, who had been extra quiet during group discussions lately; and Reggie, who had been unusually polite to you all week.

But when you opened your locker after the final bell, there was another note waiting for you.

"Meet me in the music room after school. I want to tell you something."

Your breath hitched. This was it—the mystery was about to be solved.

When you arrived at the music room, the school was nearly empty. The door was slightly ajar, and soft guitar strumming drifted out.

You pushed the door open slowly, and there he was—Archie Andrews, sitting on the edge of a desk with his guitar in hand. He looked up, his cheeks instantly flushing red when he saw you.

"Hey," he said, setting the guitar down and standing.

You blinked in surprise. "It's you?"

Archie scratched the back of his neck, looking sheepish. "Yeah, uh...it's me."

"But why—why didn't you just tell me?"

He shrugged, his hands stuffed into his jacket pockets. "I didn't know how. I thought...maybe the notes would make it easier."

You stepped further into the room, crossing your arms as you tried to process it all. "So, all those sweet things you wrote...that was really you?"

He nodded, his eyes meeting yours. "Every word."

For a moment, neither of you spoke. Then Archie took a step closer, his nervousness evident. "I've liked you for a while now," he admitted. "But I wasn't sure if you felt the same way. I figured this was my chance to tell you without totally embarrassing myself."

Your heart melted at his honesty. Smiling, you reached into your bag and pulled out the notes he'd left for you, holding them up.

"These are the sweetest things anyone's ever done for me," you said softly. "And for the record...I like you too."

Archie's face lit up, and his smile was so bright it made your stomach flip. "Really?"

"Really."

Without thinking, he stepped closer, his hand brushing against yours. "So...does this mean I can take you out on a proper date? No more secret notes?"

You grinned. "I think I'd like that."
