You glared at Veronica, your eyes narrowed in a playful threat. 'Veronica, don't you dare even think about texting Cheryl!' you said, lunging for your phone.
Veronica chuckled, dodging your reach and holding the phone just out of your reach. 'Oops. Too late!' she said, hitting the send button before you could stop her.
You froze, your eyes widening in horror as you read the message that Veronica had sent on your behalf. 'You: Hey. If you're not busy this weekend, would you want to get milkshakes? xx'
'What have you done?' you asked, a mix of terror and excitement coursing through your veins.
"You'll end up thanking me!" She grabs her own phone and changes the song that was currently playing. She had the biggest grin on her face once she realized that Cheryl had already responded.
"What did she say?"
You chuckle, "She said she's not busy and would love to. I guess I have a date on Saturday!"
"Your welcome, I guess," veronica shrugs and smiles. You jus t playfully shove her and thank her.
