"Mei... Mei wake up" Ume was shaking Mei waking her up
Mei opened her eyes to find herself still in the car in front of a small house between the woods, Ume was back to her usual look and no Yuzu beside her
"where are we ? where is Yuzu ?" Mei panicked
"calm down.. calm down your father took her inside.. come with me" Ume held her hand and helped her out of the car and led her inside the house
Mei was surprised by how the house from the inside.. it may be an old and small house from the outside but inside it was big and quite modern
"What is this place ?"
"This is a house I prepared for this day" Ume said to the living room "now make yourself comfortable while I make something for us to drink and discuss things... tee ?"
"yes thank you but first.. where is she ?" Mei said sitting down
"she's in your room sleeping" Ume moved to the kitchen
"When will she wake up ?"
"This is her first awakening so it will take the whole day... probably by midnight she will awake" she prepared three cups of tea and brought them to Mei "now drink and I will call your father. he has to be here so we can clear everything to you and Mei.. please go easy on him he went through so much and all for you"
Mei slowly nodded and waited alone then after a few minutes they came back together and sat across from Mei.. she didn't want to make eye contact with her father so she lowered her head
"so what do you want to know first ?" Ume said
"um.. everything but first.." she looked at him "I want to know why you left" her face showed signs of anger and sadness
"Well.. uh. I don't know how to put it simply so I will just say everything from the beginning...
years ago when I was still a teacher at the academy I did a research and discovered things.. or more like beings.. people with great power and walked the earth thousands and thousands of years ago.. sadly before I left some people knew what I discovered and wanted this power so I began receiving death threats and I even got attacked at some point but I managed to escape, after that I figured you aren't safe with me.. to protect you I... I had to leave so I can seek protection. first I sought some strong bodyguard or something but after that, I thought maybe I can find those powerful beings or something so I began to search for them.. this took the whole five years and finally, here we are" Sho said and looked at Ume who was smiling at Mei
Mei's mouth was like a bridge at this point this was so much unbelievable.. she couldn't really believe that Yuzu her CHILDHOOD friend was thousands of years old
"and you are what exactly?" she asked as she looked at Ume
"We are celestial beings.. some of us known as Angels but also due to our powers.. some were known as gods... some are servants, some are messengers, some were created for protection and some for fighting. and finally the Devil.. in your beliefs you could say we are all Angels" Ume said as she showed Mei some pictures of Angels but someone caught Mei's attention

"This is Yuzu's father right ?" Mei said looking at the picture
Ume smiled but her eyes showed hints of sadness "indeed he is"
"What happened to him ?" Mei asked
"he... was protecting us from some Angels that wanted to kill Yuzu"
"huh!! why ?"
"Angels are created and born with a soulmate.. like literally, they share a soul with their mate and this bond is unbreakable even by death" Ume closed her eyes and continued "and my soulmate was.. the Devil himself"
