A couple years later...
You hummed to yourself as you walked up the wooden steps leading up through Rito Village, enjoying the quiet afternoon. You finally reached your room after your quiet stroll, and you saw Orville, Eagle, Parro and Revali all huddled together on the floor looking at a large map.
"And what are you four up to?" You asked as you leaned against the door frame, and Parro and Eagle both looked back at you.
"You're back! We were just-" Revali looked up at you too, and his eyes went a bit wide when he did. "Hey you." He stood up and walked over to you, and once he was in front of you, he had his eyes on your hair. "I didn't know you wanted to get it cut."
"I just wanted a bit of a change." You shrugged with a small smile, and he still continued to observe your hair. "How does it look?"
"How does it look?" He repeated, and you nodded. He laughed and pushed a strand of your hair behind your ear. "I think it's adorable." You giggled as he gently pecked your forehead, and you wrapped your arms around his neck.
"It looks good, _____!" Eagle said, giving you a thumbs up and the others agreed. "Now, Rev, we need you to come look at the route Parro and I picked." Revali gave you one last squeeze before sitting down again with Orville.
"What are you guys planning?" You asked as you set your bag down next to your hammock before sitting down in it. "Are you going on a trip?"
"We are indeed!" Parro exclaimed, pointing to the Hebra Mountains. "First we're going to go across Coldsnap hollow, and then after that we have to go through the mountains and all the way out here. There's apparently a temple out there with some super cool giant fossil!"
"We plan on leaving tonight to get the best chance of getting there while no storms are anywhere nearby." Eagle said as he stood up. "And we'd offer for you to go with us but I don't know how much you'd like the conditions."
"I've actually been quite tired all week, so I'm not exactly in a traveling mood," You said, stretching your arms out a bit. "Good luck to you guys, though."
"Anytime you wanna go, just ask." Revali set his wing on your head and you smiled. "If you're tired then you should rest, though."
"Alright, well, I'm going to go get ready, so you three should too." Eagle left the room, and Revali, Parro and Orville all nodded.
"We'll go too then." They both left to get to their rooms, and once they were gone, Revali sat down with you.
"How was your day, my sweet?" He asked, playing with a piece of your hair. You laughed and curled up next to him, smiling with the scent of lavender that met with your nose.
"It was good. I'm looking forward to having a few weeks free to spend with my favorite rito in the whooole world." He wrapped his wing around you amd let you lay on his chest, and you gently stroked his feathers, hearing him let out a soft hum.
"I'm looking forward to spending a whole week with my favorite princess." He nuzzled his beak into your hair and the pair of you simply laid cuddled up together until you fell asleep, and then he just continued to hum and rub your back as you rested.

"Alright, everyone ready to go?" Eagle asked, placing his bow on his back. "Then we better head out before dark." He walked over to Abby to give her a kiss before hugging little Kaneli, and then Orville and Parro said goodbye to Leslie and Bella, and then Revali came over to hug you.
"We'll be back in a few days at the latest, love." He pecked you cheek and you kissed his beak. "You just get your rest and everything, alright?"
"Okay, I will. Good luck." You gave him one last hug before letting him run off with the others, and they all flew away, waving to the five of you as they did.
You made small talk with Abby before she went off to get Kaneli to bed, and you went upstairs to get ready for bed yourself.
You got all cozy in your hammock, and then just gazed out your window, watching the clouds go by as the sun set. You snuggled into your blankets and dozed off to the sound of the light breeze.
