KABANATA 21

Kabanata 21.

"Is that your name?" Seryosong tanong sa akin ni Ivar.

Napalunok naman ako at pakiramdam ko ay parang may nakabara sa aking lalamunan. Bakit kailangan niya pang magtanong. I already told him my name.

"Yes" napipilitan kong sagot.

"Why don't you ask me what's my name" pahayag naman nito sa akin.

Bumuntong-hininga ako bago nagsalita.

"What's yours then?"

"Greetings, Prince of Razvan Kingdom. I am the third prince of Verosian Empire, Prince Aivaro Kalister Verosian"

Pagpapakilala nito sa akin. Napakurap naman ako ng ilang beses dahil hindi ko ineexpect na sasabihin niya ngayon sa akin ang totoo niyang identity. Akala ko ay wala siyang balak umamin sa akin.

"You're not surprised" nakangising saad sa akin ni Ivar.

"I already knew" pagsasabi ko sa kaniya ng totoo.

"Really?" Natatawang tanong sa akin nito. Tumango ako.

"I am not stupid. It's obvious"

Mas lalong natawa si Aivaro dahil sa aking sinabi.

"So, we're not both stupid I guess" nakangisi niyang saad.

"Pero bakit kailangan mong itago sa akin kung sino ka? You even sent a letter to my father. You are like a con-man. I'm not even sure why my father believed you" seryoso kong pahayag.

"Hindi na rin ako sigurado kung may plano ka bang maupo sa trono o wala" pagpapatuloy ko pa.

"I need to disguise myself because there's a search troop for me and I don't want them to locate my whereabouts"

"I understand that but why didn't you tell me sooner?" Seryosong tanong ko.

"Because I want to surprise you but looks like you already know who am I" nakangising saad nito sa akin.

"Are you really planning a rebellion?"

"If you want to call killing the emperor a rebellion then it is" sagot ni Ivar.

Nginisian pa ako nito.

"Why am I even here for?"

"You are dangerous that's why I need to look after you" nakangising pahayag ni Ivar.

Natigilan naman ako at pakiramdam ko ay naloko na naman niya ako.

"Are you serious?" Hindi makapaniwalang saad ko kay Ivar dahil umalis ako sa Razvan Kingdom para tulungan siya. Wala akong planong makulong sa Verosian Castle.

"Yes, I thought you are not stupid. I lied to you and to your father because I need you to come with me. For me, you are dangerous because of your ability and I can't let you be" seryosong saad sa akin ni Ivar.

Halos mamula naman ang mukha ko sa matinding galit.

"I left my mother just because of this big joke? Just because you think I am dangerous? How dare you play with my life. I left my mother because of you" halos magdilim ang ekspresyon ko dahil sa matinding galit.

Ngumisi naman sa akin si Ivar na para bang wala siyang pake kahit magwala pa ako dito sa loob ng maliit na carriage.

"What a momma's boy"

"You are a liar"

"I'm not. In fact, I told you the whole truth about everything. But, did you? You didn't. You are the liar here" nakangising usal ni Ivar ngunit ramdam ko ang madilim na presensya niya.
