Saturday night was an interesting one. Adeline had learned how to cast a rather effective 'Expelliarmus' thanks to Harry's help. It had taken her a couple tries to cast his wand from his hand, but she managed it and Harry gave her a high-five in congratulations. After that, her and Neville went back and forth casting it at each other. Neville didn't get it.
But it was okay, they still had one more Saturday until they all had to go for Christmas break.
And now Adeline was on her way to find Fred and George. They wanted to meet her to discuss the plans for the prank they were going to pull on Umbridge.
To be honest, Adeline had never pranked anyone before and she didn't really want Umbridge to find out that she was in on it, but she would never snitch on Fred and George if she got caught. She would say it was all her doing. Her parents would be disappointed in her. Though, Ben would be proud.
Speaking of Ben, she had a letter in her book bag ready to send off to him that read:
Ben,
I miss you.
I'm sorry I haven't written to you in a long time. A lot has been going on here and I've been really busy with school work and tutoring.
You'll never guess who that is.
I'm coming home next week for Christmas.
I love you.
See you then,
A.FAdeline held her bag closer to herself as she trudged through the castle, following the directions George gave her earlier that day in the Great Hall. Her wand was clutched in her hand tightly as she made her way through the corridors of the fifth floor. She had scurried down the hall, passing doors until she reached the statue of Boris the Bewildered. Beside it, the door of the room the twins wanted to meet her in.
She wasted no time, checking from side-to-side to insure that no evil pink witch was watching her in the shadows. Once she was sure of it, she rushed into the room and shut the door quickly.
The first thing she noticed was the overwhelming scent of -- soap.
Adeline turned to inspect her surroundings. She was in a bathroom. A large bathroom at that. The floor until her feet was prestine ivory tiling guiding all the way to a large pool-like bath that that in the middle of the room and led to the end. Over top of the bath, there was a stunning gold fountain that was emitting different shades of water through each row of taps. Red, yellow, blue, green.
It smelled of lavender, orchids, sleep, and cleanliness. Adeline felt her tense shoulders relax as she inhaled a deep breath of the delightful smelling soaps.
As she walked against the tile, she heard the steps in her Mary Janes echo across the whole bathroom. She took a deep breath before calling out, "Hello?"
Adeline took a couple more steps forward, leaning to peek around a corner. Showers. Showers rimmed with gold and shaded in grey and ivory. Rows of them. Each with a little gold hook for a towel to be set on. She tilted her head in awe.
"Nice, eh?"
Adeline let out a little yelp, throwing her wand out in front of her as she spun around. Her other hand clutched her heart as if to calm it through her chest. The tip of her wand was met with Fred Weasley's chin. He had a smirk on his face, as if proud of scaring her. George was already laughing and stumbling around the room.
Adeline swallowed, bringing her wand down. "What was that for?"
"To scare you." shrugged Fred in a 'duh' sort of tone.
She let it go, turning her head to look at the bath again. "What is this place?"
Fred laughed and took a step next to her. "Prefects bathroom."
