The second half of classes were cancelled the next day. Dumbledore announced this because the other schools were supposed to arrive during the times of the last class.

Adeline brushed her hand through her hair — which she got Hermione to curl this morning with a curling iron. Adeline was entranced with the Muggle object, and although it was would've been quicker to use her wand, it was more fun to do it this way.

Adeline always had something about her that made her seem more — formal? She didn't mean to do it, but she just seemed to like the style. She tied it into a half-up, half-down hairstyle with a red ribbon.

Overall, the churning feeling of anxiety from last night was still simmering in her chest. She didn't get any sleep last night because of it.

None of her friends knew of her struggles with insomnia, or her general lack of sleep at all. Adeline didn't like to announce her problems. Instead, she covers them up tells everyone that she's an early riser and uses glamour charms on the bags under her eyes.

History of Magic was almost over and Adeline almost fell asleep 3 times already. Harry was next to her, prodding her with his quill every time she dozed off.

"Are you alright?" He asked her during the third time she almost fell asleep.

"I'm great," Adeline lied. "This class is just a bit boring, that's all."

"I agree. Binns droning on isn't my favourite thing either." Harry smiled at her.

Adeline hummed. "He is quite bland."

"But you have to be excited for the Tournament. Aren't you?" He pestered.

She loved Harry, she did. He's been one of her friends since the beginning of time — well, ever since they got paired up for a Defence Against the Dark Arts assignment in the early weeks of first year. It was also very useful that he was so oblivious to the emotions of other people, unless they told him how they were feeling, or if it was incredibly obvious.

"Yes," Adeline forced a smile. "I can't wait. It should be fun."

She was an excellent liar. That's how she survived. She was good at keeping her secrets and making sure no one found out her weaknesses.

As far as everyone else was concerned, she had none.

Harry copied Adeline's work and she let him, not having the energy to tell him off like Hermione was going to Ron. She was still very tired.

"Who do you think is going to put their name into the Goblet?" Harry asked Adeline.

"Well, Fred and George seemed pretty interested in doing it," Adeline commented as she wrote down the answer to one of the questions in the textbook. "They've been working on a way to get past the Age Line for months, have they not?"

Harry nodded, keeping his voice low. "I know that, but who else? Do you reckon someone from Slytherin will?"

"I reckon that every House will have its fair share of Champions, Harry. I also reckon that maybe if everyone routed for our school rather than our Houses, that we'll all get along much better." Adeline pointed out, sighing as Harry copied down her latest answer.

"What? You want me to be nice to people like Malfoy? You're surely mistaken, Addy." Harry said, sassily.

"Not Malfoy, he's a twat," Adeline began. "I mean people like Theo. Not everyone in Slytherin are prideful, egotistical prats. For goodness sake, Harry James Potter, stop copying my work!"
