Demi POV

after the girls went to sleep Dallas, my parents, and I got everything ready for today. After getting only a few hours of sleep I wait for the girls to come get me, I know I won't get any more sleep. As if right on cue I hear little feet running this way.

"Mommy mommy it's Christmas!" Molly exclaims

"Merry Christmas baby girl" I laugh

"Can we open presents now?" I ask

"We have to wait for everyone else" I tell her

"But mommy I don't wanna" molly pouts

"If you pout you won't get any of your presents" I say firmly

She pouts and stomps her foot so I take her back to her room and sit her in time out.

"4 minutes and if you continue to act like this you won't get any presents" I tell her

I leave her room and go down to start some coffee, Dallas is down a minute later.

"Whys Molly crying?" She asks

"She's in time out for throwing a tantrum when I told her she had to wait to open presents" I explain

"Ah" Dallas says

"I actually need to go get her" I state

I run upstairs to find Molly silently crying in her time out chair.

"Baby girl" I say

"I'm sorry mommy" she says

"Come here pumpkin" I say

She gets up and walks over to me, I pull her into a hug.

"Do you understand why I put you time out?" I ask

"Mhmm" Molly sniffles

"Good" I say "now why don't we go get some breakfast while we wait"

"Mommy can we make pancakes?" Molly asks

"If we have batter I'm not sure if we do" I tell her

I carry Molly downstairs and look in the cupboard. There's only a tiny bit of pancake mix left.

"There's just enough left for you baby girl" I say

"Yay" Molly smiles

I whip Molly's pancakes up real quick and give them to her. Maddie and Hannah come down soon after, followed by my parents.

"Morning guys" I say

"Morning" they chorus

Everyone eats their breakfast then all the kids run to the tree. Dallas and I behind them and then my parents. We each grab our piles of presents and sit down.

"Mommy I love it!!" Molly squeals

"I'm glad baby girl" I laugh

Molly continues to open her presents and thank us as we do the same. By the end my living room is covered in wrapping paper. Molly runs off with a new doll, Madison sets up her new aerial stuff in the backyard, and Hannah runs upstairs with her sheet music.

My mom and I clean up the living room while my dad gathers his, my moms, and Maddies presents. Everyone is happy with their presents which makes me happy. Up to this day I'm still so grateful and makes me so happy to see a smile on the girls faces. That right there is the most rewarding thing for a mother.
