Chan looked in the mirror proudly. He liked the costume he had picked out for himself. He knew that his skin loving boyfriend would be less thrilled about it, but he didn't really care. He walked out of his room and down the stairs.
"Ooh, look at you looking all fancy." He heard his sister's voice. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to a Halloween party with Lix." He explained.
"Ugh, you two are so in love it makes me sick." Victoria gagged.
"Poor Vicky... So single..." Chan pouted, taunting his sister.
"Do you want to die today?" She threatened.
"Nope, I'd rather not. I'll be off now though. See you later!" Chan quickly fixed the situation.
"Yeah, okay. Have fun with your boyfriend!" Victoria called after him as he walked out the door.
"Thanks, I will!" Chan responded. With that he shut the door and started the walk to the younger boy's house to pick him up.
Meanwhile Felix was also admiring himself in the mirror. He had picked his costume out specifically to see how Chan would react to it. But first he had to get past his parents. He threw a black button down and a pair of black pants over top of the costume and then headed toward the door.
"Ah, Lixie! You look so cute!" His Mom gushed, adjusting part of his costume. "You two have fun, but be careful, okay?"
"Okay, Mom. We'll be careful. It's just a friends house, and we both know and trust him. He won't have alcohol or anything like that if that's what you mean." Felix smiled, patting his mother's shoulder in reassurance.
"Don't do anything I would." His Dad called from the kitchen.
"Don't you mean, don't do anything I wouldn't?" Felix called back.
"Nope!" His Dad stuck his head out. "Because I'd make a ton of bad decisions!" He grinned.
"Jake!" His wife scolded him. But he simply laughed and winked at his son before retreating back into the kitchen.
"In all seriousness, have a lot of fun. I know this is one of your first times going to a party while you have a boyfriend and I'm sure it will be lots of fun. But like I said, be careful. And make sure that Chan walks you home." Rosé had her hands on Felix's shoulders. He smiled at her and nodded.
"Got it. Thanks Mom!" He gave her a hug. "I'm going to wait outside for him." She nodded and he kissed her cheek and went out to the porch.
A few minutes later he spotted Chan walking toward him. He looked great, of course, for Felix, there could never be enough skin so he would have liked more, but Chan still looked good. Of course, is it really Felix Lee if he didn't tease him a bit, though?
"Yo, Bang Chan. Looking good my dude." He called as the older boy walked closer.
"Really?" Chan sighed. "We're literally dating and you're still calling me 'my dude'? Isn't that a bit much? It sounds too bro-y."
"It's never too bro-y. Besides, this way if some Karen comes up to us we'll just look like a straight pair of friends who occasionally makes out." Felix said nonchalantly.
"Right... Okay then, come on bro, we've got a Halloween party to go too." Chan wrapped an arm around Felix's shoulder and started walking.
"So, a vampire, huh? Classy." Felix nodded his approval. "Of course, you could have gotten away with a lower cut shirt."
"And there it is." Chan laughed. "I knew that was coming."
"Well, duh. I need a good dose of boyfriend skin every day." Felix scoffed.
"That sounds terrible." Chan snickered.
"Eh, gets you into the Halloween spirit." The younger shrugged. They walked for a while, then Felix stopped the other boy.
"Okay, I think we're far enough away from my house now." He muttered.
"What?" Chan whispered harshly. But he didn't have time to ask anything else because Felix began to take his clothes off.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! What are you doing?" He asked holding his boyfriend's hands away from his clothes.
"Changing into my costume, duh." Felix responded simply, pushing Chan's hands away and continuing to take off the rest of his outerwear.
"Is this not your costume?" Chan was watching with wide eyes as the button down shirt was peeled away from the younger boy's torso.
"Part of it is, but not the actual thing."
"Which part of it isn't?" Chan spluttered, as Felix reached for his pants.
"The shirt and pants."
"Wha-" Chan's jaw dropped as his boyfriend's full costume came into view. His ears burned as his eyes wandered up up down the younger boy's body.
"Really? Just dressing as a cat wasn't enough for you?" He asked, trying to put a scolding tone on, but failing miserably because of his red ears.
"Aw, come on. Don't act like you don't like it." Felix smirked. He was dressed like a cat, his ears and tail were black and fluffy, and he had a collar with a bell on it. He was wearing a black long sleeve crop top and black short shorts. That was where Chan was having trouble.
"We're not going to the party with you looking like that." Chan said sternly.
"Why not? And you can't say it's because it's too cold, it's literally like 70 degrees out." Felix whined. He acted upset, but he was secretly enjoying how protective Chan was being.
"Because it's a high-school party. You look like you're going to an adult party." Chan crossed his arms.
"Oh please, you know that there are other people who are going to be worse. I heard Ryan was going as a sexy firefighter. As in, firefighter pants and no shirt." Felix grumbled.
"Okay, but why would you care about Ryan? And the teachers probably wouldn't let you in anyways." Chan stated.
"There aren't going to be teachers there..."
"You're going to get floor burn if you dance."
"I brought knee pads."
"You're going to be uncomfortable, aren't the shorts tight?"
"They're spandex..."
"Okay, but the crop top looks itchy."
"It's literally the softest thing in the universe, wanna feel?"
"No. You- it's-"
"Geez, just spit it out."
"I don't want you going like that!" Chan snapped. "You're showing too much skin and I don't like the fact that everybody in our school is going to see my boyfriend in a way only I should see him. What even made you think this was a good idea anyways? If you have to hide it from your parents why dress up like this at all?"
"Because I wanted to see your reaction." Felix laughed brightly. "It didn't disappoint. I'll put my outer clothes back on."
"Agh..." Chan sighed, rubbing his hand over his face. "Remind me why I'm dating you again?"
"Because you love me. Silly antics and all." Felix grinned, pulling his pants and button down back on.
"Mmm..." Chan hummed. Then he pulled Felix closer to him. "You're right." He placed a gentle kiss on the shorter boy's lips, before pulling away to let him finish dressing.
"Mhm, come on Mr. Jealousy. Let's go to the party." Felix smirked.
