Trigger warning? I'm not sure if this counts, but there are some places where some language could be offensive. Like the word "homo" is used in what could be an offensive way.

"Because I like you!"

Silence hung in the air. Felix's mouth was wide open, he was shocked to say the least. The Chan, the Chan that Felix had a crush on since the beginning of his junior year, liked him.

"Y-you like me?" He stammered out. "But I thought-"

"Uh..." Chan hesitated. "Yeah... I like you. I think I've been on the way toward liking you since we met. I guess I'm still a little confused, because I've never liked a guy before and it's just kinda... Yeah..." Chan scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. Felix's mouth opened and closed like a fish. He was about to say something, but the bell rang, pulling the two boys out of their thoughts.

Chan cleared his throat and began to walk away, but he was stopped by a hand on his sleeve. He turned around only to be grabbed by the collar and pulled closer to Felix's face.

"We'll talk about this later." The younger growled. "And you can't get out of it." Chan grinned.

"Can't wait." He winked at the freckled boy and walked away, missing how the latter's cheeks turned red.

The rest of the day seemed like torture for the two boys. Both were eager to talk, for different reasons. Chan was excited to hopefully get rid of his confusion for good. Whereas Felix was almost dreading it because he thought it would cause more confusion between the two of them, but a part of him was hoping that he would actually be able to make progress with his feelings.

When their classes were done both boys headed out toward the gate. Chan made it without trouble and leaned against one of the gate posts. He waited there for a while, thinking that Felix would be out any second since his last class was only a couple rooms away from his own. After waiting for five minutes he began to get worried. So he headed back into the school. There he bumped into the janitor, Mr. Kim.

"Excuse me?" He spoke carefully.

"Yes?" The man turned around with a kind smile on his face.

"Have you seen a boy about my height with freckles and black hair?" Chan asked.

"Oh, Felix?" Mr. Kim replied.

"Yeah, how do you know him?" Did Felix know everybody in this school?

"I saw him I think last week with his friends. That's where he is now, actually. I saw him going out to the soccer field with Ryan and the rest of the group, except Lucas, I didn't see him." Mr. Kim mused. Chan's heart caught in his throat. Felix was with Ryan? That wasn't good...

"Thank you!" Chan smiled gratefully, then rushed out toward the soccer field. He was worried. Felix had mentioned earlier that he had rescued someone from Ryan and from what Chan knew about Ryan that wouldn't end well. When he made it to the field a rush of emotions clouded his mind.

Felix was standing a ways away from the bleachers with blood dripping from his nose as he eyed the boy that was walking around him. They had obviously been fighting, and Felix still had his guard up. Ryan and some other boys were sitting on the first few bleachers. Ryan had a soda in his hand and was watching with a grin on his face. A few other boys that were there were nursing their own injuries. One's nose was crooked and had blood leaking out of it, another had a black eye, and still another had a piece of cloth held up to his mouth, when he pulled it away it was obvious he had probably lost a tooth or two. Chan's brow furrowed as he looked back over toward Ryan who was laughing as he watched the boy who was fighting Felix now charge at him.
