"Wait, this is weird. We're living in the same house, so how are we supposed to get ready for the date without seeing each other?" Felix mused as they were standing in front of the door to Chan's room.
"I don't know..." Chan thought for a second. "How about you get ready in the bathroom and I'll get ready in my room. We can brush out teeth first then get ready in the separate rooms."
"Yeah, that could work."
So they headed to the bathroom to brush their teeth. That was over quickly, since it only takes two minutes and they were going to be eating anyways.
"Felix, I'm supposed to be getting changed in there!" Chan complained knocking repeatedly on the door to his room.
"Yes, but I need to pick an outfit and my clothes are in here. Deal with it." Felix's voice sounded, a bit muffled from the material between them. Chan sighed and rested his head against the door. Two seconds later the door opens and Chan stumbles into the room, catching himself on something warm. He looked up to see Felix staring down at him, an unimpressed look on his face.
"Watch your hands there, bucko. We haven't even kissed yet." He smirked. Chan cocked his head, then looked at his arms, which were wrapped around Felix's hips.
"Oh." He jerked his hands away quickly and reclined on the ground. "I was just sitting here."
"Uh huh. Sure." Felix chuckled, stepping over the older boy into the hallway. "Go on then. You were waiting so patiently to get changed. Go do it." Chan sighed as he watched Felix walk down the hallway toward the bathroom.
"Why does he always catch me at the worst times..." He laid back on the floor.
"You better be getting ready! I won't wait for long." He heard Felix call from down the hall. "I want ice cream and I won't wait."
"But I invited you!" Chan yelled back.
"And? Ya boy needs ice cream and I have money believe it or not!" Felix responded. "Now get ready!" The sound of a door shutting rang through the hall.
"Fine! Geez, impatient much?" Chan mumbled as he opened his closet door. He scanned through his wardrobe, picking out random pieces that he pulled out and threw in a pile. Surprisingly, or not, all of his pulls were black so it didn't really matter what he put together within those pieces.
"Eh, we'll just go casual and not try too hard." He finally decided, picking out a black pair of jeans and a black graphic tee with the words "not today" on it. After he changed his clothes he went to his mirror to fix his hair, fluffing and smoothing it in according places. When he was satisfied he slipped on a pair of black converse and nodded at his reflection. The. He headed down toward the kitchen.
Felix was sitting at the table on his phone. Chan stood at the entrance to the kitchen for a while, admiring the back of the other boy's head. He could get used to this. Walking down the stairs and seeing him there everyday. He leaned against the arch that went over the doorway to the kitchen and it creaked loudly. Felix turned around to find Chan poking at the wood with a curious expression on his face.
"Never seen creaky wood before?" He laughed.
"No," Chan spoke, still looking at the doorframe. "I've seen it before, I just didn't think ours did it..." His voice trailed off as he looked at Felix. The younger boy laughed, standing up from the table and walking over to Chan, closing his open jaw with a finger.
"Take a picture," He smirked. "It'll last longer."
"Hmm, but why take a picture when I've got the real thing in front of me?" Chan responded, wrapping a hand around the younger's waist and pulling him closer. They stood like that for a minute, staring at each other. Both were in shock at what Chan just did. Then Felix clicked his tongue and pushed the older boy away.
