“Mom! Dad! I'm home!” Footsteps came from almost every part of the house. One lighter pair from upstairs, one clicking from the kitchen, and one thumping from the living room.

“Channie!” A little girl came from the stairwell and threw stopped right in front of the blonde boy who was standing at the door.

“Hello Chan, dear!” A blonde woman came out from a door to the right.

“What's up bro?” A black haired man showed up under an archway to the left.

“Daaaad..." Felix groaned. He was embarrassed not only had he needed to stop Lissie from throwing herself at the boy next to him, but now his dad was trying to act like a teenager. However Chan was enjoying himself already, his lips had already formed into a half smile. “Hi.” Rosé smiled brightly at the boy next to her son.

“How are you dear?”

“I'm good.” Chan responded. Jake smirked at his son before turning to the other boy.

“Dope. Wanna hang in the kitchen?”

“Daaaaaaaaad!!!”

They made their way to the kitchen and sat around the table with Rosé at the head as usual, because screw the patriarchy. Chan was next to Felix on the right side of the table, with Jake at the foot and Lissie on the left across from Chan and Felix. Rosé had prepared a delicious steak barbeque with potatoes and a light salad. They started eating right away, enjoying the meal like there was no tomorrow.

While they ate they talked about random things, from school, to work, to whether speaking teen slang made you cool or not. This was mostly Jake, he was a teacher at a nearby Middle school and he wanted to be the kids' favorite teacher. Chan and Felix tried to help him to realize that it was actually kind of weird to hear an adult talk like a teenager. But Jake was convinced that he sounded really cool and was going to be best friends with all of the kids.

When they had finished their main course they cleaned up the kitchen quickly. Chan helped even though he was told multiple times by all of the Lee's that he didn't need to help.

“Alright,” Jake said brushing his hands off on his pants, “Who wants ice cream? A new place just opened a couple blocks down from our house!” Lissie of course was all for the idea and she looked up at the older boys with puppy eyes. Felix laughed and turned to Chan saying,

“I'll go with whatever Chan decides, but if he doesn't want any you guys can go without us.” Lissie then turned all her attention to the blonde.

“Please Channie! It won't be as fun without you and Lixie!” Chan slightly lifted the corners of his mouth and winked at the little girl before turning to Jake and Rosé.

“Ice cream sounds amazing, if you'd like I can pay for it.”

“No need dear! I got a bonus at the restaurant today, and I was going to treat everybody regardless. Come along everyone! Put on your shoes.” Rosé had a bright smile on her face as she led everyone to the door.

When they all had gotten their shoes on they walked the couple blocks down the road to the ice cream place. It was called Frosty Creations and was decorated like an ice wonderland on the inside. Lissie was enjoying herself immensely with Chan and Felix walking around, “ooh”ing and “ah”ing at all the decorations. Then Rosé called them all over to the counter to order their ice creams.

“I'll have a vanilla in a cup-” Chan started.

“Oh heck no.” Felix cut him off, “We are at a proper ice cream place, you are not just having Vanilla! Any allergies?” Chan shook his head silently, shocked by the youngers outburst.

“Alright, I'll order for him and me,” Felix said to the teenager behind the counter. “He'll have a black cherry on a waffle cone, and I'll have an orange and lemon swirl soft serve in a sugar cone. Oh, with sprinkles on the soft serve. Thank you!” He flashed a bright smile before turning to Chan with a deathly look on his face.

“Oh, you might want to run dear.” Rosé said “Our Lixie takes ice cream very seriously.” Chan took one look at Felix before nodding at Rosé and running out of the store. With Felix not far behind him.

“Aw, they're going to miss their ice cream...” Lissie said sadly, not believing the fact that they would run away right after they ordered. Rosé and Jake laughed.

“Don't worry, they'll be back.” When they had finished ordering and paying they waited for the ice cream to come out.

When the ice cream was ready they gathered all the orders and went outside to find Felix and Chan. Sitting down on a bench Lissie looked up and down the street.

“Are you sure they're coming back?” She asked as Jake handed her her bubble gum ice cream. Jake shrugged.

“I don't think Lix would pass up an opportunity for ice cream, right baby?” He looked over at Rosé who nodded smiling at her daughter.

“In fact, I think I see them now!” Lissie looked up and indeed there was Felix and Chan. Felix was dragging Chan by the sleeve of his hoodie, still looking like he was about to murder someone, or stuff ice cream down their throat, or possibly both. Chan was dejectedly letting Felix drag him along looking extremely tired. They were both out of breath when they reached the bench Felix's parents and sister were sitting on. Felix took the black cherry ice cream offered to him by his father and shoved it in Chan's face.

“Eat it.” Chan hesitated. “Eat it now, or I'll shove it down your throat. Do not test me.” Chan took the ice cream with wide eyes before sitting down on the bench across from Jake and Rosé, who were laughing, amused at the antics of their son and his friend. Felix huffed, satisfied, before grabbing his ice cream and sitting on the bench next to Chan, keeping his eyes fixed on him. Chan slowly stuck his tongue out and touched the tip of it to his ice cream.

“Chan.” Felix warned. At that Chan stuck his entire tongue on the ice cream and scooped a good portion into his mouth. His eyes widened when a fruity, not too sweet taste spread throughout his mouth. He went for another lick, and another, until he was devouring the ice cream. He stopped feeling eyes on him. Looking up he found the entire Lee family watching him, Jake and Rosé looked amused, Lissie was in shock at how fast he was eating it, and Felix was... Red? Chan's eyes settled on Felix, who turned back to his ice cream as soon as he noticed. Chan raised an eyebrow at the boy, but he focused back on his ice cream again, eating slower this time.

Ice cream had been eaten, Chans had been chased, and the adults were satisfied with a happy excursion to the ice cream shop. Lissie was falling asleep on her dad's chest as the adults, Felix, and Chan talked about the ice cream store and how it had been founded. When Rosé noticed this she tapped her husband on the shoulder motioning to their daughter.

“Alright, boys, I think it's time we head home. It's getting late.” Rosé stated as she stood up and gathered her and her husband's trash. Felix and Chan followed suit grabbing their trash and walking over to the trash can. As they walked back to the Lee house they all looked at Lissie and awed at how cute she was. When they reached the house they all went inside and stopped in the hallway.

“Alright boys, it's only Thursday so don't stay up too late. You still have school tomorrow.” Rosé looked at her husband who was carrying Lissie up to her room. “And if you do stay up late don't be too loud, since Lissie's already sleeping and Jake and I will probably be going to bed soon.”

“Don't worry Mom! We'll be quiet! Right Chan?” Felix turned to Chan giving him a stern look.

“I mean,” Rosé laughed, “I was more talking to you than to Chan, but okay! Goodnight boys!” Felix looked down, embarrassed. Rosé hugged her son before turning to Chan.

“Do you want a hug?” She asked softly. Chan nodded slightly before walking into her arms and wrapping his own around her. It was a soft motherly hug, and he enjoyed every second of it. Then they parted ways, Jake and Rosé heading to their room, and Felix leading Chan to his.
