He pulls out of the parking lot and starts heading out of town a little bit. He turns onto a road surrounded by trees. And I look over at him with an eyebrow raised.

"Are you taking me into the woods to kill me?" I ask, bluntly. He just laughs and shakes his head. "Where are we going?"

"No, I'm not. But I'm not going to tell you where we're going. It's a surprise."

"I really hate surprises." I cross my arms over my chest and sit back.

"Good to know." He says before turning onto another road surrounded by even more trees.

"Can you tell me now?"

"Nope."

"How about now?"

"Nope."

"Now?"

"No, we're almost there."

"Ugh!" I am so impatient. He veers off of the road onto a trail. Suddenly the trees open up and the road comes to a small cul-de-sac.

He climbs out and runs around the car. I open my door only to see his hand being held out for me. I take it in mine and climb out into the cold and I wrap my free arm around myself.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"Just look at the ground until I tell you to look up." I do as he says, and direct my eyes to my feet. He leads me into the grass and to what I can guess the edge of a hill. It goes down steeply and he looks up at me as he starts climbing down.

"Be careful and watch your step." He says, holding my hands to help me down. We don't go down too far, but far enough where if I would lose my footing I would go toppling down this steep hill into the trees.

He brushes off a large rock and motions for me to sit. I go to sit only to jump back up.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"It's fucking cold!" He laughs and sits down, pulling me down onto his lap.

"Alright now look out there." He tells me. I raise my eyes to where his hand is pointing, to see the whole town of Rosewood below. It's beautiful with all the lights of the town creating a glow. Looks like a bunch of stars on the ground in the dark.

A quiet, "Wow!" was all that escapes my lips as I stare out at the town. "How did you find this place?" I ask in awe, not able to take my eyes away from the view.

"My mom used to take me here when I couldn't sleep at night." He says, and I can hear the slight sadness in his voice. I break my eyes away to look at him and I see his gaze looks far away.

I wrap my arms around him and hug him tightly. He looks like he needs it. He felt so warm I didn't want to let go, but I figured I better before I made the situation weird.

"What happened?" I ask, quietly before adding, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." It takes him a long moment before he says anything.

"My dad was a drunk with major anger issues, and he liked to take it out on my mom. As we got older it continued to get worse. Dean and I would try to step in to try and keep him away from her, which it did, for a moment. Then he would pull the last bit of energy he had after beating us and beat her too." His eyes were so sad and it pulled at my heart.

"She planned to leave him and take us with her but somehow he had found out and came home completely wasted. In a blind rage he just started wailing on her and by the time I had gotten home from school that day, the ambulance was out front and my dad was sitting in the back of a cop car. That was the last time I saw him. And that morning was the last time I had seen my mom."

I feel the sadness reach my eyes. He brings his hand up to cup my face. "I'm so sorry." I whisper.

"It's okay. It was years ago." He pauses and brings my forehead to his own. "I've never told anyone that before."

"Then why tell me?"

"I don't know." He shrugs, still not moving his head away from mine. He tilts his head ever so slightly so all it would take was me to move a little and we'd be kissing.

Throwing caution to the wind, I bring my lips down to meet his softly. It was gentle and sweet.

We break apart for only a moment before one of his arms tightens around my waist and the other pulls my head back to his. Our lips smash together with more need this time.

We made out for a little bit before we went back to his car and watched the sun come up.

-------

I feel someone poking my side and I try to push them away. I had not slept for two days and I was not about to let someone wake me up so soon after I had fallen asleep.

Right as I think it's going to stop, there it is again. I growl as I sit up. "What?"

Kelsy jumps back with a sweet smile on her face and just smiles at me.

"I said, what do you want?"

"When did you get in last night?" She asks.

"I didn't. Not til this morning. And not that long ago, hence why I was still sleeping!"

"Did you leave the party with Jason?"

"Yeah." I realize that I'm not going to get her to leave me alone until I fill her in on my night. "Where's Roxy?"

I attempt one more time to get out of talking.

"She stayed over at Jackson's. But you were going to tell me how your night went and whose hoodie you're wearing." I look down and realize I still had Dillon's sweater on. She jumps on the bed, crosses her legs and puts her head in her hands looking like a toddler ready to listen. I just roll my eyes and laugh at her.

"Well, I left the party with Jason. We went back to his place and fucked. Which wasn't the greatest we've had, but I'm assuming all the alcohol probably had something to do with it. Once we were done, he had passed out like right away so I left and walked to the park. Once there, I met this guy who ended up being Dillon Hunt."

She gasps, "Wait, like the Dillon Hunt whose party we were at?"

"Yeah, apparently he doesn't like staying at his parties. Anyway, we just sat there talking for awhile and then he took me to this spot where you can see the whole town! It was hands down the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. And then we made out for awhile until I had him drop me off here. The end."

She squeals and gets all giddy. "Girl, I've heard he is like insanely hot! Is he? AND you got to make out with him? De-tails. Now."

"Shit, he's got the most gorgeous blue eyes you'll ever see that stick out even more with his dark ass hair. And I only got a feel for them, but the muscles on this man, mmm. I can't!"

"Mm can I have him?" She wines, then raises an eyebrow at me. "So did you sleep with him?"

"No way lady, and you know my no 2-in-1 rule. So, hopefully we meet again when said rule isn't a factor." We laugh together while she shakes her head at me. "So tell me about your night."

"Ugh! So not as eventful as your night. There was this guy that kept trying to come up behind me while I was dancing and just was not accepting no for an answer. After a couple hours of him seeming to be every where I needed to go, I told Roxy I was leaving and ended up coming home."

"What a drag. Was he cute at least?"

She rolls her eyes at me. "Yes, but that's besides the point."

I just laugh at her and we continue talking about other random shit.
