I wake up feeling fully rested, well as rested as I am able to get being eight months pregnant anyway. I get up and make my way downstairs. I look all over the house unable to find anyone. I look out the window and see the garage door is open.
"There you two are." I look at the sight in front of me. Dillon is sitting on the garage floor with a two-year-old Silas in his lap working on the mini dirt bike Dillon bought Silas for them to work on together. When they hear me Silas jumps up.
"Mommy!" He comes running over and I pick him up and set him on my belly. "Me and Daddy are working!"
"I see that, have you guys been out here all morning?" I ask.
"Yeah! Daddy says you was sleeping."
"I figured we would let you get some sleep. I felt you tossing and turning all night," Dillon says as he walks up and kisses my forehead. He leans down and kisses my large belly next. "How are my girls this morning?"
"We are doing good but hungry."
"There are waffles and bacon in the microwave," Dillon tells me, standing back up.
"Well, I'm going to go and heat those up." Silas jumps from my arms towards Dillon and thankfully he's quick enough to catch him in time.
"Buddy, what did Daddy say about jumping without telling me. I'm going to miss you one of these times and you'll fall."
"Sowy Daddy. Can we work more?"
"Of course we can, buddy." Dillon kisses me before I make my way inside to get some food.
Just as I'm finishing up, I hear the front door open and a tired-looking Kelsy comes walking in carrying a baby.
"Well hello, ladies." I stand up and grab the baby from Kelsy's arms. "Hi miss Ellie"
"How are you doing, momma?" Kelsy asks. We make our way to the couch and sit down.
"I'm doing alright. This pregnancy is going a bit better than when I was pregnant with Silas, except for the heartburn. I swear everything gives me crazy heartburn."
"That sounds painful. I guess I got lucky with both of mine."
"Yeah, I don't want to hear how easy your pregnancies were." We laugh. "Where are the boys?"
"Will and Benjamin are out in the garage."
"Yeah, Dillon's had Silas out there all morning. He's definitely turning him into another motor-head."
"Did you ever expect anything less?" She laughs.
"No, I suppose I didn't. I'm sure even this little one is going to be all about bikes if Dillon has his way."
"Which he will." I nod in agreement. "So we finally heard some news on the house."
"Really? Did you guys get it?" Will and Kelsy have been in the process of trying to get a house down the block.
"We did!" Kelsy exclaims.
"Yay! I'm so excited to have you guys so close. Now if only I could convince Dean to move closer."
"How are he and Demi doing?"
Last year Dean had finally found his match in a woman. Demi is absolutely amazing, we all love her and she knows how to keep Dean grounded. He's been completely smitten since the moment they met.
"They're doing great. I just talked to Demi yesterday, they're planning to come to visit as soon as the baby's born."
"That's good, I miss them. Hopefully, we're all moved into the new house by then."
"Dillon and Isaac will help I'm sure." She giggles at that.
"More like you will tell them they will help."
"Well, it'll get you moved in quicker," I smile. "No, I'm sure they would be more than happy to help out."
"I know. It's still funny how none of these boys ever say no to you."
"They know who wears the pants around here." I toss my hair over my shoulder sarcastically.
I look down at the little girl in my arms who is starting to wake up. Eliana was a few months away from being a year old already. She was the cutest little thing. With her light blonde hair and her blue eyes, she was going to be a heartbreaker when she grows up.
The door opens again and I hear the tiny footsteps running in.
"Auntie!" Both boys come running in, yelling. Silas runs up to Kelsy throwing his arms around her and Benjamin comes and attempts to wrap his little arms around my belly.
"You have my sissy," Benjamin says pointing to Eliana.
"I do. I've heard you've been doing a really good job at keeping her safe."
"Yeah!" He exclaims before turning towards Kelsy. "Mommy, I want a bike like Si."
"Oh, you think so?"
"Yes. Please!"
"Mommy will talk with Daddy about it."
"He say ask Mommy."
"Of course he did. I will talk with Daddy later, okay?"
"Okay."
"Mommy, can Benji come play with me?" Silas asks, looking at me with his pale eyes.
"Of course, baby." My dark-haired little boy runs off.
"Come on Benji!" Silas yells.
"Opposite in looks, identical in attitude." Kelsy laughs.
"Right."
"And I have to have a talk with our other two boys."
"Oh, you know Ben would have the best teachers. Silas has started riding, we just got him an electric bike to practice on before getting on a real one."
"I know, I just worry about him getting hurt. He's still so little."
"Trust me, I still worry about Silas every time he gets on those bikes, but I know Dillon will keep him safe and teach him the right way. So when it does happen, it hopefully won't be as bad." I reassure my best friend.
"I'll think about it. Have you decided on a name yet for little miss?" Kelsy asks, nodding towards my belly.
"We decided on Nora Jean."
"Aww, I love that!" The men come walking in then. "Babe, I was right!"
Will looks at her completely confused.
"The baby's name. She picked Nora, I was right."
"Well you had a fifty-fifty chance," he turns to Dillon. "You couldn't just hold firm."
"Sorry, man. She's carrying her, she gets the final say. Although, we both kind of decided on it." Dillon shrugs his shoulders and pats Will on the shoulder.
The boys must've gotten bored playing on their own and come down running to their fathers.
"Daddy, up!" Silas shouts at Dillon, with his arms raised. Dillon lifts him up and puts him on his shoulders.
"Me too, me too!" Ben yells at Will.
"How about we take this outside, boys," Will says and ducks out the door followed by Dillon.
Kelsy gets up and goes to the window to watch them.
"Dee, come watch this." I get up and make my way to the window. Outside our men have our babies on their shoulders running around in the yard while they play some kind of game.
"If I told you five years ago that this would be our lives, would you believe it?" Kelsy asks.
"I'd tell you, you were fucking crazy." We laugh and watch our boys play a little longer.
