I wake up and it's still dark outside. I slowly untangle myself from Dillon's arms and reach for my phone. It is still only 4:30a. How have I only been able to sleep for an hour and a half?
I get out of bed carefully so I won't wake Dillon. The bright light of the moon pours in through the window and lights everything up. There's a small desk under the window and I walk over to it.
There's notebooks stacked on one side so I grab one and sit down. Grabbing a pencil from a cup, I start to draw.
With every line and every smudge I make, my mind is slowly put into a relaxed state and I become completely immersed in what I'm doing.
Before I know it the sky is starting to lighten. I continue drawing for a little while longer before my eyes start to feel tired from the strain of drawing in dim lighting.
I put everything back as I had found it and move towards the bed. Checking the time before climbing in, it's already a quarter to six.
I turn and curl up to Dillon, falling asleep quickly.
---
When I wake again it's already 10:00a. I look around but don't see Dillon anywhere. I get up and pull my jeans on, not worrying about changing my shirt at the moment.
When I get to the bottom of the stairs I hear noise coming from the kitchen. I peek around the corner and see Dillon standing at the stove frying eggs in just a pair of shorts.
"Good morning." I greet stepping in completely and walking to stand at the small island.
"Good morning, sleepy." He replies giving me a smile. "Cheese or no cheese?"
"Definitely cheese." I sit there for a moment watching as he melts cheese over the top of the eggs before dishing some onto a couple plates. He walks over and sets one in front of me. I don't hesitate grabbing the fork and shoveling some into my mouth.
"These are so good!" I praise him. He smiles and finishes chewing before he replies.
"Thanks." We eat in silence, enjoying our food. Once we finish I turn to Dillon.
"So what do you have planned for this date you're taking me on?"
"I have a few things picked out. Haven't quite decided on which one yet."
"Well that gives me no help in deciding what I am going to wear."
"Well wear something comfortable." He pauses for a moment thinking, "And warm."
"Okay that still doesn't give me any hints on what we could be doing."
"That's okay. It's called a surprise." I group text Kelsy and Roxy asking for ideas on what I could wear. I really was helpless when it came to clothes.
K: Oh you could wear skinny jeans.
R: Yeah with those brown knee high boots of mine.
K: And curl your hair. But not like tight curls, so it's wavy.
R: Yeah! Do that! And then for a top you could wear like a black long sleeve.
K: Yes, and I have your knitted sweater at my house that you could put over that to be even warmer. Then wear a scarf and you should be set.
DM: Okay! Kels, I'm coming over to your house once I get my car.
"Could I get a ride home when you get the chance? I didn't drive myself here last night."
"Yeah that's no problem. When did you need to go?"
"I'm in no rush. Just need to get my car so I can go over to Kelsy's to get ready."
"Well since you're in no rush," He says, slowly walking towards me. "I think I may bring you back up to my room and have my way with you one more time."
"I might not object to that." I say with a smile on my face before turning and running from him as he chases me up the stairs to his room.
---
When I finally get to Kelsy's house, Roxy has already beaten me there. It was 1 o'clock and Dillon told me he would pick me up at 6p.
"So where's he taking you?" Roxy asks as I blow dry my hair after I had showered.
"No idea. He wouldn't tell me, just told me to dress comfortably." I reply shrugging.
"Aww. Surprises are so romantic." Kelsy coos, and I roll my eyes at her.
"Speaking of, what's going on with you and William?" I ask, wiggling my eyebrows at her. A blush quickly takes over her face as she grins sheepishly.
"We're just talking." She says looking away, obviously leaving something out.
"About?" Roxy pushes.
"We're just getting to know each other. We have plans to hang out tomorrow. It's weird, I think I really like him guys."
"Our baby is in love!" Roxy exaggerates, placing her hands over her heart looking at me. We begin laughing and both turn and tackle Kelsy onto the bed making kissy faces at her, while she attempts to swat us away.
"You guys are ridiculous! I am not in love."
"But you want to be!" I say getting up and sitting next to her on the bed.
"With Will!" Roxy adds, mimicking my motion.
"I would be lying if I said I didn't hope this continues into something. But we literally just met last night, there's no point in getting all worked up right now." Kelsy says, trying to think logically about the relationship, or the current lack there of.
"Well your girls are here to support you no matter what happens." I tell her.
"Even if we all know that you guys will be total hashtag relationship goals in no time." Roxy adds in a very matter of fact snooty voice that makes us all laugh.
"Alright, lets focus on Deidre and the date she has in just a few hours." Kelsy claps her hands, changing the topic off of herself.
It didn't take me long to get ready. Roxy put some soft beach waves in my hair as I put on minimal make up. Once that was done, I put my outfit on and then the three of us go down and sit in the living room, talking and watching tv, waiting for Dillon to show up.
I glance at the time and it was getting close to six o'clock. Suddenly there is a knock on the door and the girls squeal as I roll my eyes and get up to answer it.
When I pull it open, Dillon stands there with his hands shoved into the pockets of his dark jeans that are paired with a black t-shirt and a leather jacket. He has his eyes to the ground and when he hears the door open he quickly looks up.
His eyes met mine before he slowly checks me out. I laugh at him and walked through the door, pushing him along with me. When I get about halfway down the driveway I look up and see a Harley parked at the bottom.
"Please tell me that that's your bike." I say as I turned to him with wide eyes.
"Sure is." He replies, smiling at the excitement that visibly rises in me.
"Starting off strong, Hunt." I tell him as he grabs a black bucket helmet off of the seat and puts it on my head, fastening it snugly.
"I'm here to please." He smiles swinging his leg over the bike and looks back at me.
"So are you going to tell me where you're taking me yet?" I ask, climbing on behind him.
"Not a chance." He states before making the bike roar to life. "Hold on tight." He hollers, and I barely secure my arms tightly around his torso, when he speeds off down the road.
