The rest of the week passes uneventfully. I go to my classes, and work, and try to steer clear of my mom as much as physically possible.
Friday comes quickly, and the five of us are hanging out at Ray's after school. I feel my phone goes off in my pocket, so I pull it out to see who it is.
Dillon: Got any plans for tonight?
DM: Not at the moment.
DH: Party at my place.
DM: Maybe ill swing by if i don't find something better to do;)
DH: Ouch!
I put my phone back in my pocket before turning to everyone. Roxy and Kelsy are staring at me with smiles on their faces. I give them a weird look.
"What?"
"Who was that?" Kelsy asks.
"Dillon." I say slowly. "He's having a party tonight."
"Look at us, moving up in the world! Getting personal invitations to Dillon Hunt's parties." Roxy says.
"We going or what?" Wyatt asks.
"Of course we're going, man." Jackson tells him. "What else do we have to do?"
---
We all get out of the car and start walking towards Dillon's house.
I had vetoed all of Roxy's and Kelsy's outfit choices and insisted on dressing myself. I decided to go for something that was more me, more comfortable.
I had on a white shirt that had the chest laced together, my bikers jacket over that, black skinny jeans, and a pair white sneakers I stole from Roxy. My dark hair falls in loose waves, and I have minimal make up on.
Roxy has a tight top and short skirt on paired with some heels and Kelsy is wearing leggings, booties, and one of those fluffy feathery jackets.
Wyatt throws his arm around me before we get to the front door, and we walk in together.
We make a beeline for the kitchen to get drinks first. We take a few shots before Roxy makes us three girls take a picture together.
When Wyatt hands me back my phone after taking one for me, I post it on my story. Within just a few minutes, I get a text.
DH: I see you had nothing better to do;)
D: I figured I would make an appearance
"I'm glad you did." He says in my ear making me jump.
"You know, you really need to stop sneaking up behind me. It's not very nice."
"I never said I was nice." He replies.
"This must be the mysterious Dillon Hunt that we've heard so much about." Roxy butts in.
"I sure am." He says shaking her hand. "Does that mean you talk about me often?" He gives me a smirk.
"No." I say at the same time Roxy says, "Yes."
I shoot her a glare. She just smiles in return before turning back to the drinks.
"You know it's not nice to talk about people." He tells me.
"I never said I was nice." He smirks, recognizing his own words from a moment ago.
Once I feel a good buzz coming on, I drag a reluctant Dillon out to dance with me. After a couple dances he drags me back into the kitchen.
