"When can I see you next?" Dillon asks, as I stand and start getting dressed.

"I don't know. I have a lot of packing to do this week." It's been two weeks since Roxy and I found our apartment. We graduate in a few days, and a few days after that we will be moving.

"Why do you have to go?" He asks, and I roll my eyes at him.

"I've told you, Dillon. This was always my plan, to leave this town behind me."

"You could always change your plans."

"You're right. I could, if I wanted to. But I don't." I tell him and he sighs angrily. "Why do you always get so mad about me wanting to get out of Rosewood? I don't have anything holding me here. I've already got everything I need set up for when I move."

"What about me?" He bursts out.

"I don't understand."

"How do you not, Deidre? I love you! Is that clear enough for you? I love you and I don't want you to go." I stand there frozen not knowing what to say. When I continue just to stand there he rushes to me placing his hands on either side of my face and speaking softly. "I love you and I have for a long time. Please, don't leave me."

"I-I love you too."

We share a deep kiss and when we break apart, I slowly move towards the door.

"Goodbye, Dillon." I say right before I shut the door. I can see the heartbreak on his face and as much as it kills me, I know I am doing the right thing. I am being selfish for once in my life and doing what is best for me.

I walk down the stairs holding back tears. I see Dean sitting in the living room watching TV. As I reach the bottom he turns and looks at me.

"Hey, Deidre!" He smiles. I walk over and he stands to give me a hug. Over the past month or so I have seen more of him and we have become good friends.

"I'm going to miss you! You'll have to come visit me in Haven." I tell him.

"You wouldn't be able to stop me." He says making me laugh. When we pull away, I look up at him.

"Take care of him, will ya?" I ask, and he nods.

"Of course."

With that, I turn and walk out of Dillon's house.

I stuff the last box into the passenger seat of my car and force the door shut. Walking back into the trailer I look around my room one last time making sure I'm not forgetting anything.

Except for my old bed and dresser, there is nothing left.

I hear the front door open so I make my way out to the living room. I walk in as my mom is plopping herself down on the couch.

I take in her long medium brown hair that is thrown on top of her head, the lightest of wrinkles that are starting to show around her eyes and mouth, and the tight jeans she has on that are paired with her favorite hoodie.

I take in how unhappy she looks and try to think to a time when I saw her actually smiling. The sad thing is, that I couldn't think of a single memory.

"Are you just going to stand there starring at me or do you want something?" She says in an annoyed tone.

"I just wanted to say goodbye." I speak up. "I'm leaving today. Moving to Haven City."

"Good for you." She says sarcastically. "Don't come crawling back to me when you end up on your ass or pregnant." She doesn't even bother to look at me as she leans forward grabbing her cigarettes off the table.
