A few weeks later, I'm walking out of school with Roxy and Kelsy.

"Do you guys want to come over to mine?" Kelsy asks.

"Actually we have a couple apartments to go look at in Haven City. Do you want to come with? We're going to get a hotel room overnight." Roxy replies.

"Sure! That sounds like fun. I just want to drop my stuff off at my house if we have time to."

"Yeah, it's on the way." I tell her.

We all make our way to Kelsy's, and then she jumps in my car with Roxy and I.

"So are these the first ones you'll have looked at?" Kelsy asks and we both nod.

"We've been keeping our eyes out but haven't actually gone and looked at any yet." Roxy says.

"This is so exciting. I wish I was going with you guys! I'm going to miss being with the both of you all the time."

"It's okay Kels, you know you are going to be having so much fun at college, and you'll be with William." I reassure her.

"I know, but I'm still going to miss you two. We'll have to facetime all the time and visit as often as we can. I'm not letting us lose touch no matter what!"

"Don't worry, we'll be at yours and Will's wedding standing right up there next to you." I tell her. I never told her about the comment Will had made about wanting to propose her but I still always make comments about how they're gonna end up getting married.

"Oh shush, who knows if that will ever even happen."

"Girl, I swear you are completely oblivious to the way that boy looks at you!" Roxy tells her. "He is crazy in love with you. Everyone knows it, and yet you still somehow doubt it."

"I don't doubt it, I just feel like our whole relationship is too good to be true. I guess I'm just nervous that it might be. It's been nothing but perfect!"

"Because you guys are perfect for each other. Trust me babe, you are probably the last person that needs to worry about anything. Especially when it comes to Will." Roxy finishes.

We continue talking about this and that for the 3 hour drive.

---

The first two apartments we look at are just dumps and Roxy and I quickly agree that there was no way in hell we are going to waste our money on either.

The third isn't too bad but we still have two more to look at tomorrow. I really hope we can find something decent within our budget. We only have a month left to find a place to live.

We are currently sitting in the hotel room talking.

"That last one wasn't too bad." Roxy says.

"No, I mean if the other ones are anything like the first two we looked at I'd definitely pick that one. How are they even allowed to rent out places like that? I swear I saw actual roaches in the second one." I say.

"I don't think you're wrong. I could've sworn I seen them too." Kelsy agrees.

"This is more draining than it should be." Roxy says plopping herself down on one of the beds.

"I know. Have you been able to talk to Jax? Or is he still avoiding the topic?" I ask Roxy.

"He's still trying to avoid talking about it. It's like just the thought of things changing at all paralyzes him and he shuts down."

"Maybe he's scared he's going to lose you." Kelsy says.

"I don't know. I've told him that we can still make things work even if he does stay behind. I mean it's three hours, I'm not moving across the country."

"I've seen couples last living farther than that." I offer.

"What about you?" Roxy asks changing the subject.

"What about me?"

"Well it's not really a secret that you and Dillon have been hanging out." She says making air quotes when she says hanging out.

"I don't even know if you would call it hanging out. We've just slept together a few times."

"Yeah, and yet neither of you are sleeping with anyone else but one another." Kelsy says.

"How do you know I'm not sleeping with anyone else?" I ask.

"Are you?" Roxy looks at me skeptically. I pause before responding knowing she got me.

"Well no. But it's just sex, we aren't dating again or anything."

"Do you want to?" Kelsy asks.

"What? Date him again? Honestly I don't know what I want anymore. Sleeping with him kinda of puts a band-aid on how miserable I was feeling, but I don't know if I could trust him again." I say honestly.

"Finally she admits she is human and was heartbroken after a break up! We were pretty worried about you for a long time." Roxy tells me.

"I was miserable but I was fine." I say to them.

"Yeah but you never dealt with it. You just kind of tried to pretend the whole thing never happened." Kelsy cautiously says.

"I know, I just figure if I don't show that he hurt me, it would stop the pain faster."

With that we change the subject to something lighter and soon fall asleep.

We walk into the last apartment we have to look at and as soon as we got through the door, Roxy and I look at each other and ask where to sign.

It wasn't in the greatest neighborhood but out of all of them, it was in the best condition.

It's not very big, but it's still decent size for the price we got it for. You walk in the door and it's an open layout. The living room straight ahead, the kitchen to the left. There are two doors on either side of the living room leading to the two bedrooms. On the opposite side of the apartment, off of the kitchen is the bathroom and then the utility room which is big enough to put another small bed in if we choose.

Kelsy designates that as her room when she comes up.

The whole drive back consists of the three of us excitedly planning how we're going to set it up.

When we get back to town we go straight to Kelsy's.

Walking in the door, Kelsy's mom is in the kitchen cooking.

"Hey mama Em." Roxy greets.

"Hi girls. How was your trip?" Kelsy's mom, Emily, asks.

"Good, most of the places we looked at were just awful but we did find one that was perfect." I tell her pulling out my phone to show her pictures.

"That is nice. I like the open floor concept, makes it look bigger than it is." Emily says.

"Right! Only a few more weeks and we get to move in." Roxy says excitedly.

"You girls have grown up so fast." Emily says, pulling Kelsy to her and kissing the side of her head, we could see the tears starting to build up. "Anyway, before I start getting emotional, I have made more than enough food. You girls are staying for supper." She states, not leaving any room for argument.

The three of us start grabbing plates and silverware and set the table.
