Waking up with the rain pouring hard, I opened my eyes only to see a spacious and unfamiliar room, groaning as I sat straight, still dazed; I scanned my eyes, looking directly at the window where I could see raindrops.

Looking at myself at the mirror positioned in the opposite direction, I could see myself wearing sleeping clothes. My head started to hurt slowly, memories returned. We had a ball last night, and I drank too much that I do not even remember what I did.

It was a fancy ball for Ladies and Gentlemen who plans to find their destined match. In that situation, I was too caught up and drank too much last night. Most importantly, where am I right now? The place that I was at had a lavish interior that no ordinary Noble could afford.

I stood up and started searching for my gown; knowing that I was in someone's residence, I should be at least ready to face the person who took me to their abode. As I searched for the gown from the couch, I saw a jacket with a family crest that seemed familiar.

I know a man who wears this emblem and gives the meaning as to why this room looks luxurious. I started to panic; I needed to leave before he entered the room. I tried to avoid him at the party, but why was I there?

"Do you know how good looking you are?"

"You look handsome, dearest Noble,"

"I think you would look better when you're in my arms,"

Voices from my head started repeating on my mind; I crouched down and picked up the jacket, "You've finally woken up," I jolted in shock and saw a man entering the bedroom door, with a gentle face, he welcomed me with a smile, "Noble Schles-wig" I responded, stuttering.

His handsome face must be the reason why I was here; I unconsciously flirted with him while I was out. "Why are you still there? Are you still in pain?" He questioned, caressing my face. "Do you still feel unwell?"

The man slowly leaned in for a kiss, supporting my head with his hand as the other slithered along the waist, deepening the kiss. As his hands roamed around, I soon snapped back to reality and noticed where this was heading.

I pushed him away, "Wait!" I exclaimed; the man had his face all shocked and pulled away, "Forgive me," He stood up and helped me back to bed.

"I feel fine, thank you," I pulled the blankets to my chest, I could not find my clothes anywhere, and all I was wearing was this nightgown, "You still must feel unwell, you drunk heavily last night,"

I took a deep breath and shook my head; I needed to compose myself, he may be a known gentleman from a dignified Household, but I am also a refined Lady from the House of Rabellino. "Noble Schleswig?" I called out his name, "Yes?" He inched closer and kissed me from the cheeks.

"Are you really Noble Schleswig?" I raised, scanning him from top to bottom, "Yes, I am the one and the only Nikolaos Alexios Schleswig,"

He really is the man I tried so hard to avoid; there was no way I could be here at this moment. I cannot be with him. Gripping the sheets tightly, I took a deep breath and faced him directly. "I hope you forgive me for my unmannerly behavior. It's rude for a Lady to stay at a man's House, I hope we forget about this incident and let this slide," His forehead creased, "What?"

"Like I said, I hope we act as if I never been here, it was all an accident, I was drunk and wasn't thinking straight," He had no words coming out from his mouth, "Let's act as if we do not know each other, I do not want any scandals to circulate around town. I will take my leave,"

With no words following, I started to walk out the door, bringing the blanket with me to cover up my body; as I was near the door, I felt someone grabbing my arm, pinning me against the wall.

"Do you not remember what you said last night?" My eyebrows furrowed in question, "I told you that I do not plan to be in a one day relationship with someone that's why I brought you here upon our agreement," I froze with his statement.

"If you don't plan to be in a relationship with me, stay away, Lady Rabellino," He looked at me with his eyebrow raised, "Really? Then let's be in one," I looked at him with a flushed expression.

"Should we date then?" I asked him, "You don't mind being in a relationship with me, right, Alexios?" I slowly lifted his chin, leaning in for a peck on his lips.

He took a deep breath and eyed me, "You told me that you liked me that's why you initiated a relationship with me," His expression soon became stern, "I did? I told you that?" I should stop drinking liquor from now on; it leads me into catastrophic phases.

"Yes, you did, and I also said that I like you," He rose my face up, grabbing my waist attempting to kiss me again, but before he could do so, I pushed him away, "I get it, now wait,"

He took several steps and crossed his arms, "Tell me, what's the reason?" I smiled bitterly, "To tell you the truth, I do not remember what happened last night entirely,"

No one spoke after; he continued to stay silent with his face lowered down and his hands to his side. Telling all of these reasons makes me sound discourteous. I am the one who planned everything but things went down the drain.

I flirted with him knowing that this man is never the type to change partners easily, I encouraged the Noble to be with me, but right now, all I can say are these pathetic reasons that keep coming out of my mouth.
