"No, I'm not thinking anything," I buffed it off, trying not to show any motives, "How does it taste?" She asked, expecting a satisfying answer.

After sipping another, I could tell that it suited my preferences; I nodded in agreement. "That's good to hear," The Lady then placed her tea at the side, "To tell you the truth, I didn't expect that you would be here. I never had someone to talk to since everyone avoided me,"

Her threats earlier seem like she does not plan to harm or kill me; her statement earlier still gave me creeps; this Lady is not just someone I cannot easily trust and bond with; she may not have any plans but in the future...

"I won't kill you, because before that happens, someone might kill me even before I could plan to."

"Your eyes tell me that you have questions to ask," I cleared my throat and lowered my head, "Is it perhaps, the House of Schleswig?" My head raised as soon as she mentioned it.

"Bullseye," She laughed out and took another sip of her tea, "I ran away, and after the Lady of the House of Schleswig died, the relationship within the Houses crumbled, it may look fine on the outside, however within the insides, they already lost trust and faith with each other,"

My eyes widened in shock, "Especially that young Noble who always seemed to be on his high horse," She rolled her eyes, "Well, the feeling is mutual, Alexios obviously doesn't like me, and he sees me as one of the parasites who infested him,"

I did not expect that Lady Vasilas and Alexios are not on good terms with each other; moreover, how come did their internal relationship crumble after the Lady died? Even so, they should bond and help each other, especially at these times.

Both of them carried heavy burdens from their Houses and did deeds for the betterment; even so, not all relationships are in a constant flow. Some are bound to end, unfortunately, and I cannot blame them.

"Why?" It was the only word that came out from my mouth, questioning her on what may be the reason, "To tell it simply, we do not like each other,"

It seems like if I get close to Lady Vasilas, my family will hate me also Alexios, who is on bad terms with the Lady, will also be disappointed. As I was about to take a sip of the tea, I felt someone's presence behind me.

"Lady Vasilas, I didn't know you were also here!" I flinched when I heard the man's voice; it was Alexios; how come he is here. We were just talking about him. "Oh, dear me! Noble Schleswig!" The Lady raised her voice, subtly looking at me.

His voice was cold and frightening as if he was threatening the Lady, "How are you, Noble Schleswig?" He cleared his throat, "I didn't know that you have a guest here, Lady Vasilas,"

Slowly, I turned to the man, directing my attention to him, "How are you... Alexios?" He looked stoned as he saw me; it was just a split second; I could see sadness and desperation in his eyes, "Alex?" He turned around.

Before I could even follow him, he walked out of the teahouse, storming his way out, "What should I do?" I mumbled, looking at the doors he exited from, "He looks mad, Lady Rabellino,"

Seeing me after my Older Brother took me away after I stayed at his estate, and seeing with Lady Vasilas, whom he is not on good terms with, I am sure that he must feel betrayed with all that's happening.

For now, I should go after him and apologize; this all started because of me. This is my fault. I turned my direction to him, "Forgive me, Lady Vasilas," I uttered, "I know, you don't have to apologize," She chuckled.

"You should follow him, I do not want make things bad for you. Even I do not know what that man thinks," She added, "Again, forgive me, Lady Vasilas," I stood up and lowered my head.

"It's fine, we'll see each other at work," She waved bye, "I will get going, Lady Vasilas. Thank you very much!"

Standing up, I ran out and started looking for Alexios. I have never seen him since Brother took me away, and the face he wore as he saw me was the first time he gave me such expression. Someone might see me, especially since we are in Central Ylury.

Nevertheless, I should fix my argument with him. After running around and searching at alleyways, I finally saw him sitting near a fountain. "Alexios," As I called his name, he stood up and prepared to leave, but before he could do so, I dashed in his way and hugged him from behind, "Forgive me, Noble Schleswig,"

"It's my fault, how can I make it up to you? I'll do everything," He did not even flinch; only silence came out, with the trees rustling, the wind blowing, and the water rushing, "Alexios,"

He must be too mad to respond to me; I started to feel anxious, "Alexios," I let him go and went to his front, "Alexios!" I repeated, calling out his name.

With no last resort, I tiptoed and reached for his face, hastily giving him a peck on his lips, "Tell me, are you all right?" Slowly raising his head, the man gave me his innocent smile, "Alexios, aren't you mad at me?"

He shook his head and heaved a sigh, "I'm fine now, you're here with me, everything is all right," I turned to him, "So don't apologize, Eva,"

He reassured me, "What were you thinking running all the way and chasing me?" I lowered my head as the man pulled me by my waist, "I thought that you would be disappointed when you saw me and Lady Vasilas together,"

He took a deep breath and hugged me, snuggling on my neck, "What should I do with you?" He mumbled, "You're supposed to be running away from me, yet why are you still here, chasing me?"
