A week after, making the most of my leisure, appeared Foivi at the corner, "Lady Rabellino," I looked at the woman who called my attention, "Yes?"

"The ring craftman showed up and is wanting to see you," she stated, "What should I do, My Lady?" She lowered her head, unsure of what to say next.

"Is that so?" I stood up, "I will grant audience, bring him to the drawing room,"

Walking towards the drawing-room as seeing it empty, the thrill of excitement made my heart skip a beat. "My Lady?" Someone knocked on the door, "The craftsman is here, Lady Rabellino," I took a deep breath before glancing at the door.

"Enter," The servants left as soon as he entered, "I, greet you, Lady Rabellino,"

"What may have brought you here, Mister Sarras?" I inquired as I motioned the couch in the opposite direction. Behind him, a suitcase revealed the velvet box containing the ring, "I have never worked with a delicate diamond in my life, and to tell you the truth, this is the most intricate design I have worked with, and I can say that this work is the finest piece I ever made," said the man in question.

Looking at the ring, it all matched the description I preferred and expected, "This is the result of my hardwork that I worked hard for the entire week. I barely got enough rest and food just to finish this," My eyes widened, "The House of Schlesiwg spent so much just for this ring, and I am honored to present it to you, Lady Rabellino."

"Should I help you with the ring, My Lady?" Foivi offered, just as she was about to hold the velvet box, someone barged in the room, storming the atmosphere in the drawing-room, "Eva!" With open arms, Alexios marched his way towards me.

"I came as soon as I heard that the Craftman finished the ring," He pulled me by my waist, reaching for a hug. Staying like that for a few seconds, he soon released me, "Show me the ring," The Craftsman presented the suitcase and showed Alexios the velvet box containing the ring.

"Eva," Looking back at me, the man had his expression brightened, "The ring is-" He looked proud and jolly with all the excitement that came rushing through him.

"I want to see it on you," He carefully removed the ring from the velvet box and gently slid it on my finger, "You picked one alluring engagement ring, Lady Rabellino. It looks good on you,"

Before he could go any further, he glanced at everyone in the room, "Please excuse us," Slowly bowing, they started to leave one after the other. "Any jewelry would look good on you. You can just tell me what you like, and I will buy it for you." He uttered, holding my hand, kissing the back of my palm.

"Why are you not saying it anything?" The man questioned, looking at me from head to toe, "Oh, of course, thank you."

I cannot say something that could hurt his feelings; this man knows how to twist someone's mind and work it against them. "I am delighted that I can finally call you mine," Once again, he kissed the back of my palm and smiled. "Alex, I am just wondering, everything happened so fast. The day before you left, you demanded for a reason why I kept pushing and pulling away and now-" I stopped in my sentence.

"And now what?" He asked, "Everything is happening so fast, my mind can barely keep up," Alexios chuckled in response.

"I like it fast, dearest Eva," I sighed, "What happened in the days you were gone? The House of Rabellino will not agree on such things because of what happened that night."

"Let us just call it background work." My forehead creased in confusion, "You do not have to know the details, the important thing it, we are officially together and nothing could separate us,"

Easing the tension, he lifted my hand once again, eagerly looking at the jewelry, "Do you like the ring so much?" I questioned Alexios, "I like the ring, moreover, it looks beautiful on you, I cannot help but want to hold you more," He bluntly said.

"How about you, Eva?" I smiled at him and nodded, "I love it, thank you very much, Alex!"

"You really know how to drive me mad!" He pulled me close towards him, "I want you Eva, and heaven knows how much I love you!" He groaned, breathing deeply.

I never expected that this man, a living person, genuinely and sincerely adores and loves me. Even if I try not to take him seriously, the Noble in front of me is not someone to be taken lightly. He feels love for me, an emotion he grew up craving for.

I could not help but feel flustered with all the words that he kept saying. Accepting him might be a different issue; even so, I should take and accept him seriously, disregard the thoughts inside my head and believe them.

"Help me remove the ring first," I sprawled my hand, "I thought that you will keep wearing the ring," The Noble mumbled.

"No, I will take it off," I responded, "Remove it for me,"

His forehead immediately creased, "Why? Do you not like it on your finger?" As I thought, this man would turn my statement back against me, "No, I do not want to take it off either,"

I took a deep breath and smiled, "I would love to keep wearing it, however, I would like to keep it as it is until the engagement ceremony," The instance with my words, his face instantly brightened, "Have you been looking forward to the engagement ceremony?" He questioned as his smiles lit up in joy.

"I have, and with that speaking, I will take my rest now," I composed myself and started to walk forward, "I suppose I should go to bed early with the busy schedule I have for tomorrow. I will get going, Noble Schleswig," Turning around, I lowered myself and bowed.
